A traditional Japanese restaurant located on "Sushiya-dori" street in Asakusa, offering seasonal dishes and fresh seafood. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, with a staircase leading down to the basement. The interior features a counter and tables. At lunchtime, about 30% of the seats were occupied. I was seated at the counter and ordered the pre-booked course. 《Weekend & Holiday Limited Lunch Set 3,500 yen》 〇 Sapporo Lager (Akastar) Medium Bottle 660 yen ▪️Oboro Tofu The tofu served as an appetizer was smooth and had a rich soy bean flavor. ▪️Appetizer: Luxurious Obanzai Platter ・Raw Oysters ・Spinach with Sesame Dressing ・Mozuku Vinegar ・Lotus Root Kinpira ・Konjac Stew ・Taro Croquettes ・Mackerel in Mirin Sauce ・Horse Mackerel in Sweet and Sour Sauce The raw oysters had a very fresh, briny aroma. I enjoyed the creamy texture to the fullest. Each dish was carefully prepared with high-quality ingredients. It was also nice to be able to enjoy a variety of small portions. ▪️Sashimi: Assortment of Sashimi ・Tuna ・Halibut ・Sawara (Spanish Mackerel) The tuna had a rich flavor with a slight amount of fat in the lean meat. The halibut had a delicate flavor and texture. The sawara, with its skin seared, was fragrant and flavorful. 〇 Shinryo Shi Junmai Ginjo 650 yen ▪️Main Course ・Today's Meat Dish Chicken with Sansho Pepper ・Rice, Miso Soup, Pickles The fragrant sansho pepper and sauce were a perfect match for the white rice. The chicken was tender and juicy. The miso soup arrived quite late, and I wish it had been served at the same time as the main dish. This "Kuzushi Kappo" restaurant offers a casual dining experience while preserving traditional techniques. The lunch menu features affordable courses, making it easier to enjoy Kappo cuisine. They have a decent selection of sake at reasonable prices. Perhaps because it's not in a very prominent location, the restaurant was relatively empty during lunchtime on this day. It would be a great place to enjoy sake and small dishes.
A perfect spot for a sophisticated Asakusa date night when you want to relax. I had the chef's omakase course. It included a set of small side dishes, sashimi, grilled Itoyoridai (a type of fish), deep-fried anglerfish, and a grilled rice ball with tea for the finale. The silver ball was a delicious maitake mushroom soup! And to finish, a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Everything was delicious and I was very satisfied 😋✨
A casual take on a high-end Japanese restaurant, with a slightly family-restaurant-like menu and a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. While the food isn't mind-blowingly delicious, it's reasonably priced and offers good value for money.
I had lunch here. The food was delicious and affordable, making it great value for money. The plating was also beautiful. The service and atmosphere were decent, with a calm and relaxing vibe. However, it lacked the typical Asakusa feel and didn't have a special atmosphere, so I gave it 3 stars. The most delicious and impressive dish was the homemade tofu appetizer. It was creamy and truly delicious. The fish and tempura were also tasty.
A cozy, intimate Japanese-style restaurant. The tables fill up quickly, but the counter is perfect for a date night, offering a more intimate setting. The initial basket of appetizers is brought to each person individually, a true kaiseki-style experience that women particularly appreciate. It's so photogenic that seeing it makes others want to visit! The dishes are also perfect for pairing with sake, making it irresistible. The draft beer has a fine head and is served in beautiful glasses, leading to a few extra drinks than usual. The restaurant's attention to detail is evident here. This was my second visit, and I'm already planning my next trip. Thank you for the delicious meal.
