I went to the MERCER bis Shibuya store! I always walk around in front of Mercer bis whenever I go to Shibuya. I usually end up shopping at other stores and go home, but today I was determined to go in! But I bought bread and cream puffs... Oh, and this chiffon she thing is so cute and small! You can choose between one or four. "I want the caramel, the strawberry, the Oreo cheesecake..." The staff member said, "We only have the caramel chiffon she." Aw, I wanted to try different flavors. I'm sorry, but I'll just buy one... It's a combination of chiffon cake and financier. My daughter and I split it in half. It's sweet, but not too bad. The caramel is delicious. My daughter said it's good without the caramel, just the filling. It's a matter of preference. I was hesitant about buying a whole chiffon cake because it's so big, but apparently the Ebisu and Futakotamagawa stores sell slices of chiffon cake in cups! I'm going to Ebisu to buy them! All the flavors! ❤️
I stumbled upon Mercer Biz's caramel chiffon cake on a Shibuya feature on TV, so I went to buy it. It's located in "Shibuya Mark City 1F", about a 3-minute walk from the central ticket gate. It's right by the entrance, so you can find it easily without searching. I bought four kinds: caramel chiffon cake, caramel chocolate chiffon cake, strawberry chiffon cake, and New York cheese chiffon cake. By the way, the prices range from 850 yen to 1000 yen, which is quite expensive. However, the size was quite awkward, which was a bit of a problem. It was a bit too much for one person, so I thought we'd split it into four, but the chiffon itself was so light that we ended up eating it all. Then, four pieces felt a bit too small. I personally would prefer a slightly smaller size and a more affordable price. Even so, the egg white and domestic rice flour dough was incredibly fluffy and chewy, showcasing its high quality. It would be too light on its own, so I understand the process of adding weight with the caramel sauce. Ultimately, the biggest issue is the lack of balance between price and satisfaction. Since the next one is a very large chiffon cake, I hope you consider creating a smaller version. ^^v
This chiffon cake shop is located inside Mark City. It's known for its individual-sized cakes. I recently bought one because my family hadn't had dessert in a while. Since I can only eat a small amount, this size was perfect for my young child, my wife who's watching her figure, and me. When I told my wife this, she said, "Chiffon cake is so light, this size is really perfect for one person to eat in one go." I bought the salted caramel flavor, and it had a subtle bitterness that gave it a slightly mature feel. It wasn't too sweet, which I thought was just right. It seems like a good choice for a little treat for yourself.
📍: Tokyo 🗼 Shibuya / Sweets 🍽️: This rice flour chiffon cake is a godsend for me, as I can't eat a lot of wheat flour. It's surprisingly light and airy, and I devoured it in no time. The mini size is denser. 👀: Both the regular and mini sizes look delicious. 🚉: Directly connected to Shibuya Station. Popular flavors sell out quickly, so be warned. It doesn't last long, but it's a great gift and I recommend it over any other cake. Recommendations📝 Taste only → Oreo Cheese Chiffon Overall (including appearance) → Caramel
For a homemade gift, I bought a rice flour chiffon cake ✨ Caramel chiffon cake. When I cut it open, the inside was pure white! As expected, rice flour. It was fluffy, but those who love regular chiffon cake might find it a bit lacking. It's a very famous shop, and it can get crowded depending on the time, but I was able to buy it without waiting in line on a weekday afternoon.
