This bakery specializing in baked goods is located in the basement of Hikarie, directly connected to Shibuya Station. They also have branches in Shinjuku and Ikebukuro. Even in the basement of Hikarie, where many renowned establishments gather, they occupy a sizable space and command attention. I visited on a weekend evening. They only offer takeout. Their signature items are financiers and gateau nantais. They offer a variety of gateau nantais. They also have a selection of classic baked goods like madeleines, galettes, and pound cakes. They offer gateau nantais in various flavors like pistachio, strawberry, orange, pear, and apricot, but I tried the most popular original flavor. I also purchased a financier and a limited-edition lime and orange galette. The financier is thick and fluffy. It has a slightly salty buttery flavor, making it a unique and delicious treat. The galette, being citrus-based, was a bit milder than I expected in terms of acidity. The galette itself was delicious. The gateau nantais is slightly sweet but moist, with a rich aroma of butter and almonds. It would pair perfectly with coffee or tea. They have a wide variety of baked goods, so I'd like to try other items in the future. They also offer various boxed sets, making them ideal for gifts.

I happened to stop by and there was a short line, so I decided to take advantage of the opportunity. The prices were reasonable, so I bought a lot for souvenirs and for myself. The number one best-selling financier is delicious, as expected. The seasonal financier was also very tasty.

This shop's most popular financier is as delicious as the financier from "Noix de Pâques." It's a great place to stop by for a quick purchase in Shibuya, a city that is transforming into a more mature environment. I stopped by "Biscuiterie Bretonne" on the second basement floor of Shibuya Hikarie, in the Tokyu Noren Street, after having sushi. Shibuya has been shifting from a city targeting young people in their teens and twenties to a city targeting a more mature customer base. As a result, I've been visiting Shibuya more often in recent years. Among them, "Tokyu Noren Street" on the basement floor of Shibuya Hikarie has several of my favorite shops, and it's directly connected to Shibuya Station, so I use it quite often. This day, I bought the most popular financier from "Biscuiterie Bretonne" Shibuya store as a dessert to keep at home. After returning home, I immediately enjoyed the financier. You can warm it up in the microwave or toaster oven before eating, but since I had just bought it, I ate it as is. The surface was crispy, and the inside was moist and fluffy, a consistently delicious experience. It's no wonder it's the most popular item. At ¥216 including tax, it's also reasonably priced. If you're going to Shibuya, be sure to pick one up and keep it at home. I find it so delicious that I eat it all at once, so I usually buy five, which costs about ¥1,000. That day, I also bought "Yoku Moku"'s Cigars as a dessert to keep at home. Besides Cigars, I often buy "Noix de Pâques" financiers to keep at home, but "Biscuiterie Bretonne" is also highly recommended.

Honestly, I wanted to buy the most popular financier and canelé, but they were sold out. To be precise, they sold out while I was in line. It's that crowded on weekend evenings. The customer base is 100% female. From an efficiency standpoint, it's quite difficult, but I wonder if they've marketed the 'girl-friendly' elements, including the staff's costumes? The pastel colors, design, and displays are all packed with elements that capture your attention. And, the taste is the most important thing. When you open the box, a sweet aroma fills the air. ① Framboise: It has a firm texture, and as you eat it, the sweetness of the confiture and the fruitiness come through. ② Diamant Chocolat: It has a slightly bitter, crunchy texture. ③ Galette Bretonne Demi: The baked color and appearance, and the thick, chewy texture are its charms. ④ Caramel Salé: The sweetness of the caramel, the pleasant aroma, the thin, elegant texture, I love this one. ⑤ Hazelnut and ⑥ Pistachio have a meringue texture. Each one has its own unique personality in a small box.

Located on the B1 floor of Shibuya Hikarie, a 4-minute walk from Shibuya Station, is a specialty shop for baked sweets. Known for their butter-based pastries, this shop stands out with its long lines, even among the other confectionery stores in the basement. Around 3:30 PM, the Faubourdon was already sold out. While gift boxes and packaged sweets have a relatively long shelf life, the individually sold pastries have a surprisingly short shelf life of only 2 days. I purchased the following 3 items: * Gateau Nante (¥302) * Financier (¥194) * Galette Breton (¥238) ----- **Gateau Nante (¥302)** This is their specialty. The dough is made with plenty of almonds and butter, resulting in a moist and delicious texture that melts in your mouth. The surface is coated with a crunchy sugar icing, which is sweet but refined. There are also variations in flavors like chocolate, pear, and strawberry, and they are visually appealing, making them suitable for gifts. **Financier (¥194)** This also has a buttery flavor, with a slightly soft edge and a crispy texture. **Galette Breton (¥238)** This is a thick, baked cookie with a crispy and crumbly texture. The sprinkle of salt enhances the sweetness. ----- Everything was delicious, but I would recommend the Gateau Nante, their specialty. Thank you for the meal.
