I visited this restaurant after seeing it featured on Instagram and reading its positive reviews on Google Maps. I arrived with a friend on a Saturday around 9 PM. The restaurant was almost full, likely due to the Sumida River Fireworks Festival, but we were able to get a table without waiting. The interior was clean and had a mix of young and middle-aged patrons. The staff were friendly and welcoming, both when taking our order and clearing our plates. I was drawn to the restaurant because of the enticing photos of the sashimi on Instagram, but the taste wasn't quite what I expected. While the food was good, the liver sashimi had a slight gamey taste, and the tongue was a bit too chewy for my liking. This is just my personal opinion, of course. The grilled chicken skewers were delicious, especially the marucho (marinated small intestine). The rest of the skewers were good, but nothing particularly special. In addition to the dishes pictured, we ordered two soft drinks and two beers, bringing the total bill to 7,500 yen. This felt a bit pricey. Overall, the experience was average.
I went there on a Saturday night. I was seated promptly without waiting, and the service was smooth. The atmosphere was very nice, with a stylish "izakaya" vibe, which made a good impression. I ordered sashimi and various yakitori, but the taste was just average. I felt the price was high for the quality of the food. The menu is extensive, so it might be a good place to go with a group of friends for drinks and a lively atmosphere.
I recently visited again. The simmered offal is absolutely delicious. It's quite far (in Tochigi Prefecture), so I don't go very often, but I always make sure to visit when I'm in Tokyo.
I was the first customer to arrive shortly after the shop opened. The service was good. I visited on a day after Golden Week, when it was a bit chilly with light rain, so I ordered the stew that was recommended on social media. It was delicious, but as I was the first and only customer that day, the food was lukewarm, almost cold. The staff were chatting amongst themselves and the phone was ringing constantly, which was a bit off-putting. 🙃 The restroom is located in the adjacent APA Hotel. The restroom was clean.
Located on the first floor of the hotel, this place offers typical prices and flavors. The skewers are generous in size. Personally, I find that the offal pieces are quite large, making it difficult to achieve consistent grilling, resulting in some unevenness in the cooking.
