I visited on a weekday afternoon. It was empty, perhaps because it was outside of lunchtime. This is a place to enjoy Kirin beer and snacks. It's fun to order dishes based on what you think will pair well with the beer - rich snacks with a strong beer, simple snacks with a lighter beer. It's hard to order multiple dishes when you're alone, so it's best to come with a group and share. I'll do that next time.

I often visit this place when I'm thirsty and want a delicious beer. They have a great selection of snacks to go with the drinks, including classic sausages and lamb, as well as seasonal dishes, which keeps things interesting. That's one of the reasons I like it so much.

This is a lively beer hall. I had a bit of trouble finding a place tonight, but finally found an empty table and stopped by. Of course, you can't start without a frothy draft beer. The meticulous pouring technique makes it truly exceptional. It's a far cry from pouring your own from a bottle. I ordered a selection of dishes to go with the beer, and they were all excellent and perfectly paired. Sometimes, a little prosciutto or aioli is just what you need. I had a good time and the bill was a bit pricey, but considering the quality, it was fair. The staff is very friendly, so you don't have to worry about dining alone. It's a great place for two or three people.

This is Kirin City, located in Ameya-Yokocho, Ueno. It's also close to Okachimachi Station. I visited on a weekday evening around 6:30 PM. The restaurant was relatively empty with only a couple of other groups. It got busier later, so I recommend coming early. Overall, the menu prices are on the higher side. Ordering is done through a touch panel. I thought the quality of the food was good. The seafood Doria and the shredded potato dish were particularly delicious. The beer isn't served ice-cold like in typical izakayas, but in glasses that are tailored to the temperature of each beer. The regular Ichiban Shibori was reasonably priced and tasty. I enjoy Heartland beer and often order it at restaurants that serve it, but the Heartland I ordered here wasn't as good as usual.

I dined here recently. The staff was very helpful in explaining the ordering process and how to pay, which was great! 😎 The drinks came out quickly and tasted good 😊. The food took a bit longer to arrive, though. It all came out at once, so you might want to think about that before ordering. 😭 The meat was tough 🥩, which was disappointing 😢, but the other dishes like the Ahijo, bacon and potatoes, pizza 🍕, fish and chips 🐟, and sausage were all delicious. The meat 🥩 was the only let down. I'll definitely be back. Thank you! 🍺
