The exterior and interior design are both beautifully crafted, showcasing a keen eye for detail. However, the staff's demeanor was a bit rough around the edges, and the service was underwhelming. We visited with two people, and the initial seating arrangement was cramped, with a small table that made it feel like our plates of cake and coffee were about to fall off. Fortunately, we were able to move to a different table, but it was directly under the air conditioner, and despite the 28-degree heat, I couldn't stop shivering. The food, while a bit pricey, was delicious. The signature Mont Blanc features a smooth, unassuming Japanese chestnut cream paired with meringue, making it easy to enjoy. The matcha parfait was quite substantial, with layers of matcha jelly and red bean paste beneath a generous topping of cream, mochi, macarons, and ice cream.
This popular cafe has several locations in Ginza. Their signature dish, the Japanese chestnut Mont Blanc, is so popular that I'd say 80% of customers order it. I had it with a drink, a hot Earl Grey tea, and it was pure bliss. It was pricier than I expected, but it was definitely worth it. They also have a Western chestnut Mont Blanc, so I'd love to try them both side-by-side. There are two entrances, but the one facing the main street has a waiting area where you'll line up. Be careful, though, as the other entrance can look empty, but it's a trap! I was surprised to see a lot of male customers, too.
This shop is famous for its Japanese chestnut Mont Blanc. The chestnut flavor was strong and very delicious, but I don't think it was much different from others. I'm not sure if it's because of the Ginza location or the brand, but it didn't feel particularly special. I ate it with milk, and it was delicious, so I recommend it.
I had the Mont Blanc. It was delicious, but I didn't think it was anything particularly special compared to other places. Maybe I had high expectations since it's their signature dish. The interior is small with a nostalgic atmosphere, giving off a classic, old-fashioned vibe. The seating is close together, so it's not exactly a relaxing experience.
The chocolate parfait is a classic and pricey, but it's definitely delicious. They bring you fresh water in a new glass when you ask for it.
