A stylish izakaya (Japanese pub) located on the first floor of the Kokubun Building near Nihonbashi. From the restaurant and terrace seats, you have a great view of Nihonbashi. I visited at 5:30 PM on a weekday after work. It was raining that day, so the restaurant was about 70% full. The name of the restaurant comes from its location, 1-1-1 Nihonbashi. As it's owned by a trading company famous for canned goods, the restaurant has a wide selection of canned snacks. The bacon and asparagus seem to be from one of their canned products. It was delicious. The sashimi platter had three types of fish: tai (sea bream), hamachi (yellowtail), and isaki (Japanese amberjack). The isaki was a beautiful pale pink, and it was light and flavorful with no strong taste. The bones had been carefully removed. The prices were a bit on the high side, as you might expect in Nihonbashi, but it was a stylish and delicious restaurant. (^^)
A Japanese restaurant located along the Nihonbashi River. It seems to be quite popular at night, and it's a convenient Japanese restaurant with various seating layouts, including terrace seating. With its excellent location and delicious food, it's no wonder it's a popular spot. I'd definitely like to visit again for a special occasion.
## 2024.5 **Photos Added** Reservations are a must. It was still too cold to sit outside. The flames are a landmark in the Nihonbashi area. We visited right before last call. It was a weekend and the atmosphere was great, so I assumed it was a mixer. My apologies. The food was delicious. However, I saw some women in the women's restroom sizing up the men, so I guess my assumption was half right. We're not into mixers, we just eat. But the staff was attentive and served us food at a good pace, so we could eat without rushing. The restaurant's attentiveness was appreciated. I forgot to take a picture of the saikyo-zuke (marinated fish). It was disappointing that they didn't have the kinmedai (golden eye snapper) simmered in soy sauce. We ate for about an hour. It was just the right amount of time.
The atmosphere and accessibility were fantastic. We enjoyed a leisurely 2.5-hour all-you-can-drink experience. The course portions were on the smaller side.
I don't understand the high ratings. The only good thing is the location. I visited for lunch. The soba noodles weren't freshly cooked, and the tempura was just reheated in the microwave. Only the mackerel sushi was good. Maybe because there was a large group of customers? A female staff member said that the all-you-can-drink time was calculated from the time we entered, so she wouldn't take our order for the last 10 minutes. It was unpleasant. This is the worst store. Their operations are not standardized.
