My 60th Birthday Dinner Celebration It was at "Hiro Centro," an Italian restaurant on the 35th floor of Marunouchi Building. Last year, I also celebrated here, so it feels a bit nostalgic. My mother, who lives with me, and my younger daughter, who lives in Tokyo, joined me. It's incredibly heartwarming to have my daughter here! Today is the Ni-no-tori festival, which falls on the New Year's Festival, and the weather is unseasonably warm. It feels like the weather is celebrating my 60th birthday. The food was delicious! My official 60th birthday party will be held separately in Utsunomiya. (Visited on November 23, 2023)
I've been to "Ristorante Hiro" in Marunouchi several times. It's a well-known Italian restaurant that has been around for about 20 years. Personally, I'm not a big fan of restaurants located in commercial buildings, but I keep coming back to this one simply because I love the food. The view is great, the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable, making it a pretty good restaurant overall. This time, I had: - Fried young sweetfish - Red sea bream carpaccio - White asparagus and prosciutto - Bamboo shoots and beef tongue - Their famous "Cappellini" pasta. It's called a specialty for a reason, it's delicious!! - Hand-caught shrimp pasta, another specialty, also very delicious! - Charcoal-grilled "Ichibo" (beef cut), perfectly cooked and incredibly tasty 🍖 - Hinata orange dessert - Pudding This meal came out to about ¥18,000 for the course and ¥30,000 with wine pairings. The price isn't cheap, but I loved all the wine pairings and had a truly enjoyable time. The only downside was that the person who cleared the last dish rushed us a bit out of the blue. It would have been perfect if not for that. There are so many restaurants around Tokyo Station, but I highly recommend this one for business dinners, dates, or any occasion!
It was a business lunch. There were two pasta dishes, one with meat. A separate fish dish was also served. With dessert, it was 4500 yen, so I think it's pretty good. The focaccia and bread were delicious with olive oil. The view from the 35th floor is also great!
I always use this restaurant for special occasions like birthdays! This time, I went there for my parents' wedding anniversary! All the dishes in the course were delicious, and even the ingredients I don't usually like were all delicious in this restaurant's hands!! The portions were just right, and the timing of the dishes was perfect🥺 The staff's service was also amazing😭✨ A young, handsome gentleman served us, and his explanations of the food and all his service were perfect. A young lady cleared our plates and placed our knives and forks, but she did it silently, so I wondered if it was part of their training or if she just does it that way. lol Either way, it's my favorite restaurant! I'll be back♡
The ambiance was great and the food and wine were both delicious. It's not often you get to look down on Tokyo Station, so I highly recommend a window seat.
