This coffee shop has the air of a traditional Japanese establishment with a long history. You can enjoy both fragrant mocha and slightly darker roasts with a bitter edge. There were a few people vaping when I was there, but it wasn't too bothersome. The owner seemed very kind, and it was a nice shop overall.

During my recent trip to Tokyo, I was searching for a coffee shop and stumbled upon "Kōhii-ya." I decided to give it a try. I ordered a hot cocoa and a hot Earl Grey. The cocoa was sweet and delicious. The Earl Grey was a generous portion, enough for 3-4 cups, making it excellent value for money. I was very satisfied. But what truly impressed me was the owner's personality. He was absolutely charming. I enjoyed the conversations he had with other customers seated at the counter. He also had paintings on display, likely his own work, which added to the pleasant atmosphere. As I was leaving, the owner noticed my large suitcase and kindly held the door open for me. Smoking is permitted, and during my visit, most of the customers were men. I will definitely visit again when I return to Tokyo.

This place is known for its coffee jelly and the cool master who makes it. ☕️ This time I had the cream anmitsu, which was carefully made and delicious. 😊

I absolutely loved the interior design of the shop. I didn't notice it when I first entered, but when I was leaving, I saw the beautiful floral pattern on the inside of the entrance door. The coffee cups were also very charming, and I enjoyed a delicious cup of coffee. It's a smoking-allowed establishment, so I'll try to visit again during a less crowded time when there are likely to be fewer smokers.
