This is a tonkotsu ramen shop. I went in because of the teriyaki char siu and the short line. I ordered the "Teriyaki Char Siu Ramen" for 1220 yen. The tonkotsu soup was rich but not too heavy, and the noodles were a nice, straight, medium-thin width. A good balance. The teriyaki char siu had a good bite to it. The extra noodles were 60 yen. You can add them to the soup or eat them with the table condiments. I enjoyed it all and finished it off.
This restaurant is located in the Ramen Street at Tokyo Station. I tried their recommended teriyaki char siu ramen and tonkotsu curry. The soup was smooth and not overpowering, the noodles were cooked to my liking, and the char siu was pretty good. You can also add their special chili oil for a flavor change, and of course, you can order extra noodles. The tonkotsu curry was delicious with plenty of beef tendon.
This is a tonkotsu ramen specialty shop with such high-quality char siu that you'd be missing out if you didn't try their teriyaki char siu. The menu I ordered this time was... - Teriyaki Char Siu Ramen ¥1100 (tax included) Ore-shiki Jun is a tonkotsu ramen specialty shop located in the Ramen Street at Tokyo Station, where popular ramen shops are lined up. Their meticulous commitment to quality is evident in their kitchen, where they simmer fresh pork bones for over 24 hours. The soup is their pride and joy, boasting a rich, flavorful broth that is free of any unpleasant odor and packed with the essence of pork, resulting in a smooth and creamy finish. The noodles are, of course, delicious, and their original "Sugoi Kaedama" (extra noodles) is highly recommended – you absolutely must try it! The topping features a truly exceptional teriyaki char siu, a rare sight in tonkotsu ramen. It's glistening and plump, with a delightful teriyaki glaze that adds a savory and sweet accent, making this dish incredibly delicious and irresistible. It's a truly satisfying and flavorful experience that will leave you wanting more.
Ore-shiki Jun (Ore's Style Pure) - Excessively Dried Sardine Ramen ¥1040 The ramen has a very rich and thick broth. The soup is a creamy pork bone broth with a strong, bold flavor of dried sardines. It's a very delicious soup. The noodles are not very thin, but they are thin noodles. I ordered them firm and it was the perfect choice. The chashu (pork) is melt-in-your-mouth, just as it looks. It's no wonder it's so popular.
Dinner at Tokyo Station After deliberating over what to eat, I ended up at the Tokyo Ramen Street in the basement of Tokyo Station. As I walked through the street, I found a place that caught my eye, called "Ore-shiki Jun." It's known for having the best tonkotsu ramen in the entire street. This tonkotsu ramen was delicious. They also offer extra noodles, which is fantastic. My companion had the niboshi ramen, which was decent, but tonkotsu is definitely the winner! ▽--------------------------▽ ○Restaurant Name: Ore-shiki Jun ○Tabelog Rating: 3.55 (as of July 5, 2024) ○5 minutes walk from Tokyo Station ○Budget: ¥1,500 per person ○Address: Tokyo Station Ichiban Gai, Tokyo Ramen Street, 1-9-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo ○Business Hours: 8:00 AM - 11:00 PM ※Closed: Irregularly ※Transportation IC Card Payment Available △--------------------------△ 【Reservations】 Reservations not available 【Recommended Usage】 Coworkers, friends, solo 【Crowds】 Full at 8:00 PM on Saturday.
