Today, I headed to the ramen street on the Yaesu side, but everything was packed. I didn't want to wait in line, so I ventured into a back alley where there were surprisingly few people. Today's meal was a ramen and meat rice set from a Chinese restaurant. The soup was a light soy sauce broth with plenty of napa cabbage and pork belly, topped with a large piece of char siu. The thin noodles had a classic feel, and the soy sauce ramen was comforting. The char siu rice was surprisingly spicy, and it went down a treat. It was already cool outside, but I worked up a sweat after a short walk after eating. It's still too hot for comfortable weather, even though the temperature has dropped by 5 degrees. Thank you for the meal today. #TokyoGourmet #KamizaDimSumRestaurantGranstaYaesuStore #KamizaDimSumRestaurant #CharSiuDon #TokyoStationLunch #TokyoStationGourmet #TokyoStationRamen #GranstaYaesu
Located a 5-minute walk from Tokyo Station on the JR Yamanote Line, it's on the B1 floor of Gransta Yaesu. While the entire underground area of Tokyo Station is often referred to as Yaesu Underground Street, it's actually divided into sections with different names. I visited on a weekday evening at 8:00 PM, and the restaurant was relatively empty. After finishing my meal, I found myself wondering, "What kind of flavor is this Godai ramen?" It's a truly enigmatic taste. The owner seems to have a French background, and the ramen is distinctly different from ordinary shoyu or shio ramen. This originality is Godai's greatest strength. The restaurant primarily features tables, allowing for a relaxed dining experience. The sign says "Dim Sum Restaurant," suggesting a unique concept. I ordered the beef and pork chilled ramen. Now, for the taste... It's delicious. While it's soy sauce-based, it lacks the sourness of cold ramen and has a well-balanced broth and saltiness. It's truly a chilled ramen. The grated radish and sudachi accents are also excellent. The toppings include thinly sliced beef, pork, grated radish, green onions, chopped seaweed, and sudachi. The soft-boiled egg and kimchi were added as toppings. The noodles are thin and cheap, like those you'd find at Hidakaya. They seem like the kind you'd buy at a supermarket. This is the only disappointment. I wish they had a more original noodle. The price is ¥1,410, and it's about 80% filling. I think I'd be willing to try it again, including the regular menu. It's not bad.
I visited this restaurant for lunch during a business trip in May 2024. I was wandering around the underground shopping mall looking for lunch and decided to try this place after narrowing down my options to noodles at Gransta. It seems like they specialize in dim sum! 🥟 I had the lunch set with a vegetable-packed ramen and soup dumplings. The light, salty soup and vegetables were delicious, and while the portion was generous, it wasn't overwhelming. There were a lot of female customers, so maybe the healthy aspect is popular? ☺️ Thank you for the meal.
The famous Kanda ramen from Osaka is now in Tokyo Station. The soup is packed with the deliciousness of napa cabbage. I was short on time before my train, but the staff kindly confirmed and served my food quickly. Thank you!
I was craving ramen at Tokyo Station, but the ramen street was packed. I was looking for a place that wasn't crowded and had quick seating. I found a place with absolutely no line! I was so grateful and went in right away. It was a Saturday night around 9 pm, and the restaurant was empty, so I was seated immediately. I ordered the: ★ Delicious Ramen and Gyoza Set - ¥1140 The ramen arrived in less than 10 minutes! The noodles were thin and the broth was a rich vegetable base with a light flavor. It was an interesting ramen with a tangy, almost tanmen-like taste. It felt healthy, so I could see why it would be popular with women. Thank you for the meal!
