I visited "Boulangerie de Galette Stand JP Tower KITTE Store", located on the 1st floor of KITTE, a 2-minute walk from Tokyo Station's Marunouchi South Exit. Arriving around noon on a Saturday, there was no wait and I was able to enter immediately. I purchased a croissant for 324 yen. The croissant was delicious with a rich buttery flavor. I enjoyed it until the very last bite. I intended to take a picture, but I ended up eating half of it before I remembered.
This cafe is located on the first floor of KITTE, directly connected to Tokyo Station. It's very easy to find, as it's right to the right when you enter KITTE from the Tokyo Station side. As the name suggests, it's a cafe run by Boulangerie de Pain. I visited for breakfast on a weekday morning as I was passing through Tokyo Station. It opens at 8 am, so you can stop by even before work. There are about five tables in front of the store, so you can enjoy the cafe or simply grab takeout. There were about 10 types of bread displayed in the showcase, including curry bread, hard bread, croissants, pain au chocolat, and more. You can buy them individually, but in the morning, there's a morning set that includes a croissant, pain au chocolat, or plain scone, and your choice of tea or coffee for a great price of 486 yen. I had the pain au chocolat and tea from the morning set. The pain au chocolat had a sweet dough and chocolate in the middle. I wish there was more chocolate. I thought it might be better to go to the Boulangerie de Pain in Tokyo Station, but it's always crowded there too.
I love crispy bread, so I often use this bakery for takeout. Their pain au chocolat is very popular. The crispy texture gives way to a delicious chocolate filling. The amount of chocolate is just right. I highly recommend their bisque curry! The shrimp and curry bisque was delicious. You can enjoy the crispy texture in this dish too. The staff are very kind and helpful, offering advice on how to get the best deals. I really appreciate their assistance.
I visited early on a weekday morning, around 8 am, and had to wait a bit for the Shinkansen. As expected of Tokyo Station, it was incredibly crowded, but I was able to get a table without waiting too long. I ordered a bread and iced coffee. The bread was freshly baked and crispy, and the coffee was freshly brewed and delicious.
This is a cafe where the bread selection seems to be more extensive than the coffee. I took a break here on a weekday morning. The shop is small with about five small tables outside. Since it was morning, I ordered the morning set. It was a croissant and coffee set (scone and tea are also available). The croissant was large, had a nice color, and was crispy and delicious. The coffee had low bitterness and acidity, making it easy to drink. It was a small size, so it was nice that I didn't feel bloated. They accept PayPay.
