Located in Ningyocho, "Motsunabe Yamashou Ningyocho", a restaurant specializing in motsunabe (Japanese hot pot with offal). ✓ Recommended Points ・When it comes to motsunabe in Nihonbashi, Yamashou is the place to be! ・Perfect for New Year's parties, year-end parties, welcome parties, and more! ・Tabelog rating: 3.57 ✓ Ordered Menu ・Motsunabe (Soy Sauce Flavor) ¥1,760/person ・Chanpon Noodles (for finishing the broth) ¥390 ・Gomaburi (Sesame Sea Bream) ¥1,300 ・Wagyu Tendon Stew ¥880 ・Chicken Nanban ¥880 ・Crispy Gobo Salad ¥780 I visited on a weekday evening and was able to walk right in. If you're going during peak hours, I recommend making a reservation. When it comes to motsunabe in Nihonbashi and Ningyocho, Yamashou is the place to go. You can choose between soy sauce and miso flavors for the motsunabe. I went with soy sauce and had the staff prepare it at my table. The ingredients included plenty of offal, cabbage, chives, burdock root, sansho pepper, and garlic – a classic motsunabe combination! The offal was fresh, tender, and incredibly delicious ✨ I enjoyed the entire meal, right down to the finishing noodles! Another great thing about this place is their delicious side dishes. The "Gomaburi" (Sesame Sea Bream), a popular menu item, and the "Wagyu Tendon Stew", which is full of flavor and perfect for pairing with drinks, were particularly memorable! Highly recommended for gatherings with friends and colleagues ✨ Thank you for the meal!
A specialty motsu nabe (offal hot pot) restaurant in Ningyocho. Reservations fill up quite early, so it's recommended to go right after they open. There are seats on the 3rd floor. I ordered the spicy miso motsu nabe, whole squid sashimi, and homemade mentaiko (spicy cod roe). The spicy miso soup has sesame seeds in it, giving it a deep miso flavor and a smooth texture. The motsu is plump with sweet fat. The night-time (cooked) motsu also has a strong flavor and is delicious. And the homemade mentaiko is a must-try. The mentaiko is thinly sliced and has a light seasoning, but the umami of the broth comes through gradually, making it a perfect balance. The whole squid sashimi is different from the kind you find in Kyushu, but it's soft and sweet. The tentacles can be made into tempura, which is very filling. There are many delicious menu items, but even with a pot and two dishes, you'll be full. The price is also very reasonable, so I definitely want to go back again.
We used this restaurant for our year-end party with colleagues. We ordered the motsu nabe (beef offal hot pot) and squid dishes. All the food was delicious and we were satisfied. The first-floor private room was also comfortable. The service was efficient, but it felt a bit rushed and dry. As a customer, I prefer to enjoy my meal at a more relaxed pace, so a more leisurely approach would be appreciated.
We visited this authentic Hakata-style motsu nabe restaurant in Ningyocho with a group on a weekday evening. The restaurant is located just a short walk from Ningyocho Station, and both the exterior and interior exude a sense of quality. While the food and drinks are slightly more expensive than the typical izakayas in the area, each dish and beverage reflects a meticulous attention to detail, making the price seem justified. On this occasion, we opted for a la carte, indulging in a variety of dishes and drinks. As our group wasn't particularly heavy drinkers, the bill came out to around 6,000 to 7,000 yen per person. If you plan to drink freely, the 6,000 yen course with all-you-can-drink is a good option. The staff were attentive and friendly, creating a comfortable atmosphere. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning! (^ - ^)
I was craving some *Motsunabe* (Japanese hot pot with offal) and decided to try this place for the first time. The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by an incredibly inviting aroma that instantly whetted my appetite. Ordering is done through a mobile ordering system, where you scan a QR code and place your order using your smartphone. There's also a physical menu book on the table, which is reassuring. The *Motsunabe* comes in three flavors: soy sauce, miso, and spicy miso. I went with the miso flavor. The broth was made with *Saikyo Miso* (a sweet and mellow white miso), resulting in a gentle and comforting taste. It was so delicious that I couldn't resist finishing every last drop of the broth even after we were done with the main ingredients. The amount of ingredients in the pot was just right for two people, even after we had a few appetizers along with the complimentary side dishes.
