**Hatou Coffee Shibuya** (@hatou_coffee_shibuya on social media) **Accessibility:** ★★☆☆☆ (Easy to find) **Recommended for:** ☑ Those looking for a place to rest in Shibuya Station ☑ Coffee lovers **Demographics:** - Gender ratio: 1:1 (Male:Female) - Age range: 20s to 50s **Usage:** - Dates, families, friends, solo **Visit details:** - Time: Sunday, 4:30 PM - Wait time: 5 minutes - Occupancy: Full **Order recommendations (in order of preference):** - **Wiener Coffee** (¥1,000): Creamy and rich. - **Guatemala** (¥900): Sharp and crisp, followed by a gradient of acidity. - **Orange Chiffon Cake** (¥650): Dense cake with a tangy orange filling. **Review:** I visited on a Sunday at 4:30 PM. There were two groups ahead of me, but I was seated within 5 minutes. The cafe remained busy throughout my visit. Photography is prohibited inside. The clientele seemed to be mostly teenagers. Cell phone reception is poor. From the counter, you can see the pure white chiffon cake being sliced. The Wiener Coffee was creamy and rich. The Guatemala had a sharp, crisp taste followed by a gradient of acidity. The orange chiffon cake had a dense texture and a tangy orange filling. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The counter's perch and the lively atmosphere were pleasant.

I had been wanting to visit this place for a while and finally decided to go! It's a charming retro cafe with a great atmosphere.☕ I heard that they were celebrating their 25th anniversary on September 21st... The chiffon cake was sold out, and they only had rare cheese cake. I was planning on getting a Kilimanjaro coffee, so I said I didn't need cake. They led me to the counter, and I saw them slicing the rare cheese cake. I couldn't resist and ordered it. The Kilimanjaro and cheese cake were a perfect match! The Kilimanjaro here has a rich aroma and a very mild acidity. It was delicious! It would be nice if it were a little quieter, but it was quite lively. It's great that they're open late. I enjoyed watching them brew the coffee with a hand drip. It was a nice touch. The cup and saucer seemed to be English made. The cake plate looked like Wedgwood. It was great to be able to drop in by myself!

∥Menu∥ Here's what I ordered! 『Black Honey Pudding』¥600 『Charcoal-Roasted Jamaican Peaberry』¥1000 ≪ POINT ≫ Here are three key points! ☆A famous coffee shop near Shibuya Station, selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog. ☆The interior features counter and table seating, with a dimly lit atmosphere that creates a subtle sense of tension. The relaxed, calm voices of the male staff members added to the coffee shop ambiance. It's challenging to maintain branding when the number of staff increases... ☆This time, I ordered something not on the menu. Both the black honey pudding and coffee are limited-time offerings! ≪ FOOD REPORT ≫ Now for the food review! I'm writing down my honest impressions, so hopefully this will be helpful for choosing your menu. ☆Black Honey Pudding A pudding with a grainy texture. The sweetness spreads as it melts in your mouth! Although it's black honey pudding, the black honey flavor isn't overpowering. It gently adds its aroma to the sweetness of the pudding. The fluffy cream has a rich, milky scent. When combined with the pudding, you can enjoy a creamy aroma! ☆Charcoal-Roasted Jamaican Peaberry The aroma of roasting is very strong! A scent that coffee lovers will adore. The aroma made me think it would be a very strong coffee, but it's surprisingly easy to drink! It was a pleasant surprise in a good way! Of course, it's one of the strongest coffees I've ever had! The way the flavor expands from there is excellent! Also, if you take a bite after eating the black honey pudding, you can enjoy the sharp coffee aroma followed by the gentle scent of black honey. Be sure to try them together! Thank you for the meal!! ■□■□■□■□■□■□■□■□■□■□■□ ●Shop Name Chaten Hato ●Transportation 2-minute walk north from Shibuya Station ●Address 2F, Futaba Building, 1-15-19 Shibuya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo ●Business Hours 11:00 - 23:00 ●Closed Days None ●Seating Capacity 50 seats ●Notes Credit cards not accepted. It was a holiday, so there was always a line to get in. The interior has a warm, wooden feel that I love, and it has a calm, retro vibe. It's a really nice atmosphere. I ordered a blend and a baked cheesecake. The food was delicious! It was a shame that, perhaps due to being busy, the staff didn't seem very approachable for anything other than taking orders. I'd definitely go back. Thank you for the meal! 🙏

I ordered coffee and a banana chiffon cake. I highly recommend the combination of the Guatemala coffee, with its refined bitterness and rich flavor, and the banana chiffon cake, with its full-bodied sweetness. The coffee, though dark roasted, has a sweet aroma. The banana chiffon cake offers a variety of flavors with its mint-flavored whipped cream and chocolate coating. You can taste the tropical flavor of the banana and the depth of the coffee in layers. The warm lighting and jazz music create a relaxing atmosphere that brings a sense of calm. The time spent leisurely observing the colorful antique cups over the counter is pure bliss.
