**2024/07 Revisit** A few days ago, I had to leave due to an urgent matter and couldn't eat, so today I got my sweet-toothed friend to join me for a rematch on the 2nd floor. The stairs, stylish yet casual, lead to an open and airy space. It's nice to enjoy the view from the counter while watching the sweets being made with skill, or to relax at a table seat while watching the people of Aoyama Street go by. Today, we chose a table seat... The sweets were all rich and delicious, and the unsweetened, light iced coffee was just right. The service was polite and friendly. They explained each dessert as it was served, which added a touch of specialness and was a nice surprise. The shop was full of stylish women and couples, so it was a great decision to have my sweet-toothed friend join me. Maybe the urgent matter the other day was a blessing in disguise after all. It might have been a bit tough for an old man to be there alone. 😅 **2024/07 Revisit** I bought some macarons as a gift. The shop is spacious and beautiful. The macarons, cakes, and chocolates I was looking for were all beautiful and looked delicious. Perfect for a gift. Usually, I go for dango or dorayaki, but since I was there, I thought I'd try some chocolate or cake. Unfortunately, my phone rang just before I got to the shop, and I had to give up. No time for myself, always busy. I wish I could have a leisurely tea break sometime. 💦
Pierre Hermé, hailed as the Picasso of the dessert world, has a flagship store in Japan. The first floor features a sales and eat-in space for cakes, macarons, viennoiseries (baked goods and bread), while the second floor is a cafe. The first floor offers a full range of products, including Aoyama-exclusive items like canelé and madeleine. You can enjoy cakes and drinks at the counter seats by the window on the first floor. If you purchase both takeout and eat-in items, they will hold your takeout items until you finish eating. The staff is polite and helpful, making for a pleasant shopping experience.
I visited for afternoon tea and ordered the "Délice Délire Infiniment Pistache" and an iced café latte. The presentation was stylish, with the pistachio choux pastry and ice cream separated in compartments made of sugar work, and a nice layer of mascarpone cream. After serving, they beautifully pour pistachio sauce over it. I took a picture after they finished pouring, and then enjoyed it while breaking the sugar work. The café latte was also stylish, in a subtle way. The floor is divided into two levels, the first floor has a system where you choose cakes from the display case, while the second floor uses a QR code for mobile ordering, so the menu is different.
The second floor of "Pierre Hermé Paris Aoyama", famous for its macarons, is a café. ☕️✨ I recommend the counter seats. It has a live kitchen atmosphere, and the staff explain the sweets while serving them! As these are sweets created by the world-renowned French pastry chef PIERRE HERMÉ, everything was artistically delicious. ✨
