This popular shop has a completely different vibe on weekdays compared to weekends, even at the same time! The deliciousness of fresh fruit and the satisfying texture of the tart blend beautifully. The cafe might be manageable on weekdays. I used to wait over an hour in Ginza, so I opted for takeout, but the selection is significantly reduced. Still, everything is delicious. I chose peach and berry, and it wasn't overly sweet, which explains why I saw so many male customers enjoying it.
All the cakes were incredibly delicious, but this caramel pecan cake, kind of like a 'Kurumikko,' was just too good! 🤤🤤🤤 The cafe was crowded, but you can write your name down and decide on your cake while you're out! Just come back 5-10 minutes before your scheduled time and you'll be good. The seating is limited and cramped, but I'd definitely go back!🫶🏻
There are usually very long lines during events like Christmas, Valentine's Day, and White Day. During Valentine's Day, the line stretched all the way to Aoyama-dori and I couldn't even buy anything. Their strawberry tart is famous and seems to be incredibly popular among fruit lovers and those with a sweet tooth. I'm perfectly happy with their shortcake, though. When it comes to cookies, pastries, and baked goods, I always choose their seasonal tarts. The best thing about Kilfebon is definitely the taste of fresh fruit.
I visited on the evening of October 28th. The food was delicious, but I have a few complaints. First, the toilet was out of order and unusable. Also, they prioritized customers who came in after us, even though we were seated first. They served water and food to the later customers before us. There weren't many customers, so I think it's because they simply lack awareness. It was very disappointing. We waited about 20 minutes, but during that time, tables became available and the customers who came after us didn't have to wait at all. This made me even more disappointed.
## 4/22 Visit I ordered the Pistachio Bavarois with Tart and Sour Berries and the Wavy Mango Tiramisu. The Pistachio Bavarois was delicious on its own, with the base pistachio and berry jam. The added tartness and sweetness of the strawberries enhanced the flavor. The Mango Tiramisu was incredibly delicious, with the sweetness of the mango itself and the mascarpone cheese spreading in my mouth. ## 3/18 Visit **"First Love Scent" Shortcake Tart** The cream was sweet and the juicy strawberries combined with the fluffy sponge cake made for a luxurious and delicious shortcake. **Smiling Berry Tart** The tartness of the strawberries and the sweetness of the custard cream complemented each other perfectly. **Asahi Kanjuro Tart** The chunky baked sweet potato, salty cookies, and gentle cream made for a satisfying and delicious tart. ## 3/4 Visit I visited to try the new monthly creation. **Momo Kaoru Tart** The strawberries had a moderate sweetness and a subtle tartness. When you bite into it, the juicy strawberries burst in your mouth, and the cream enhances the flavor even more. **Matcha Tart Opera** The matcha was incredibly rich and the light bitterness was a great accent. The cream was layered, and each layer had a different texture and flavor. ## First Post The fruit is simply delicious. The cream is not too sweet and the tart crust is thin, so you can really enjoy the fruit. I'm always impressed by the balance. The chocolate is also rich and delicious. The price is definitely on the higher side, but the portions are generous, so you get your money's worth.
