The 8th floor offers a serene and sophisticated ambiance, a world away from the bustling atmosphere of the 1st floor. I enjoyed a leisurely time here, taking in the verdant views of Yoyogi Park and the towering skyscrapers of Shinjuku. The dishes were served in small portions, but the unlimited bread ensured I was well-fed. I was overwhelmed by the selection of cakes and was delighted when they created a platter with a taste of everything.

My wife made a reservation for a special occasion. Although it was raining, they were kind enough to give us a window seat with a view of Meiji Jingu Shrine and Yoyogi Park. We could choose our dishes on the spot, and I was tempted by the prix fixe menu with classic options like beef curry and meat croquettes. However, my wife encouraged me to try the French course, and I'm glad I did. The truffle and vegetable pot-au-feu appetizer was full of flavor, and the grilled sweetfish with crispy scales was a signature dish for a reason. The crispy scales and tender flesh were a perfect match. For the main course, I chose the lamb, which was excellent. It was generous in size and allowed me to savor the flavor of the lamb, from the meat to the fat. Finally, the dessert cart arrived. I couldn't resist ordering four different desserts, and I was completely full. The pudding is highly recommended. The staff was very attentive, offering to take photos and asking about our meal. We had a wonderful time. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I used a ¥10,000 dining voucher I received through the Furusato Nozei program for a weekday lunch at this restaurant. Amidst the hustle and bustle of Harajuku, the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. I was seated by the window overlooking Meiji Jingu, and enjoyed the lush greenery, which felt worlds away from Harajuku. I ordered the "Mori" lunch course (¥9,200). For an additional ¥2,500, I could have upgraded the pork to beef. Since I had a ¥10,000 voucher, I ordered an ¥800 drink, thinking I'd use up the entire voucher. However, I was surprised to find a 10% service charge, which put me slightly over budget. (laughs) Every dish was delicately flavored and absolutely delicious. I felt a little bit unsatisfied after finishing the main course, but then a dessert wagon arrived, and I was surprised to be told I could choose as many of the six desserts as I liked. Hesitant, I only chose three, but the waiter said, "We serve small portions, so please feel free to try all of them." The flavors were truly worthy of Shiseido Parlour. Everything was so delicious. I ended up completely full from the desserts. I realized then that the main course was intentionally smaller to accommodate the dessert selection. The attentiveness, the view, and the food were all excellent. This is a wonderful restaurant. I will definitely visit again.

The Shiseido Parlour, a Western-style restaurant, has transformed into a French restaurant called 'The Harajuku' under the leadership of Chef Yamamoto. The location offers a stunning view of the Meiji Jingu forest. I enjoyed the chef's recommended lunch course, 'Mori.' Chef Yamamoto, who trained under Jacques Borie at Robuchon, creates dishes with a nostalgic flavor. Everything was gentle and delicious. I was also delighted by the dessert wagon service. Since I had some room left in my stomach, I added an Amaou parfait.
