I visited on a Monday (holiday) just after noon. It was lunchtime, but surprisingly it wasn't crowded. The weather was nice, so we sat on the terrace. My friend and I ordered the cake set (shortcake and cafe latte). The waitress who served us was a friendly young woman. She made appropriate eye contact and smiled, and she was kind until we left. It was my first time visiting, but it was very comfortable. I had a great time catching up with my friend. Overall, the service and food were of the consistently high quality you'd expect from a five-star hotel. Thank you for the delicious meal! ^ ^
Located a 3-minute walk from Roppongi Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line and Toei Oedo Line, "The Ritz-Carlton Cafe & Deli" opened in March 2007. This cafe is located on the first floor of The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo within Tokyo Midtown. I visited on a Sunday afternoon around 4 pm and was seated at a table without a wait. The cake set was unavailable after a certain time, so I ordered an iced cafe latte. It was a nice touch that the cafe latte came with a small cookie. The rich milk and coffee aroma were delightful, making for a very delicious cafe latte. While the price of 1,400 yen is on the higher end, the atmosphere is excellent, and the staff's service is top-notch.
After dinner in Roppongi, we decided to have tea and ended up here. This is the Ritz-Carlton cafe on the first floor of Midtown Roppongi. You can enter directly without going into the hotel. It was about 7 pm on a weekend, and the cafe was about half full. The menu features not only sweets like parfaits and cakes, but also substantial dishes. They have a wide selection of coffee and tea, as well as wine and champagne. We went for the cakes, but there was only one left in the display case right by the entrance, which speaks to their popularity. Unfortunately, the special cake set is only available until 4 pm. In the end, we shared the last remaining mille-feuille, "Wabi-chabi" (¥1,200), which had a tea-flavored cream. It was a hot day, so we also ordered the Ritz-Carlton original iced tea (¥1,400). The mille-feuille was rich and decadent, with a generous amount of cream, truly befitting a hotel cafe. The tea had cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves, giving it a spicy and aromatic flavor that I really enjoyed. (Some people might not like it.) I didn't know they served full-fledged lunches and dinners. It would be a good option for a light meal. The staff was very kind!
We went to the Ritz-Carlton Tokyo after checking out late. We each ordered a hamburger rice bowl, beef curry, and seafood pasta. The hamburger rice bowl, beef curry, and seafood pasta were all delicious. The price was a bit high, but the outdoor terrace seating and the relaxing atmosphere inside were great. As it's a Ritz-Carlton cafe, the service was quite good.
I took a break for a coffee break. There are open terrace seats, but it was humid, so I spent time in the indoor seats. I had the cake set for ¥2100 (iced coffee and today's cake (orange hazelnut)). The fruity iced coffee was delicious, and the orange flavor, milk chocolate, and nuts accented today's cake (orange hazelnut) were also delicious ✨.
