This restaurant offers fresh chicken and rare cuts of meat. It's located just a 1-minute walk from the north exit of Kinshicho Station. I love that you can order easily using a touch panel. The menu features a wide variety of yakitori and innovative dishes, which really excited me. Here's what I ordered: * 13-Kind Bird Kokoku Salad (¥759) * Beef Tongue Sashimi (¥869) * Chicken Thigh (¥165) * Bonjiri (¥220) * Heart (¥165) * Chicken Thigh Tendon (¥220) * Skirt Steak (¥220) * Heart Tip (¥220) * Tomato and Pork Roll with Cheese (¥220) * Shine Muscat Skewer (¥308) * Lettuce Wrap (¥308) * Shimeji Mushroom and Cheddar Cheese Wrap (¥308) ...and drinks. The yakitori, made with ingredients from Iwate and Miyagi prefectures, were all incredibly delicious. The grilling was perfect, and the salt and sauce were just right. I especially loved the 'hatsu ochi,' a rare cut of meat. It was so tender and juicy, and the sauce was amazing. The salad and beef tongue sashimi were also incredibly flavorful, and I was blown away by the innovative Shine Muscat pork skewer. The Shine Muscat skewer had a similar texture to the tomato and pork roll, but it was like a sweet tomato and pork roll without the sourness. The other vegetable wraps were also very delicious. I ate a lot, but I didn't gain much weight the next day, so I think yakitori is good for dieting. The vegetable wraps were especially filling and satisfying. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves yakitori or wants to enjoy a delicious meal while on a diet.
Located just a minute's walk from the north exit of Kinshicho Station, this yakitori restaurant boasts a prime location right in front of the station. I initially overlooked it, thinking it was just another ordinary chain, but upon visiting, I was pleasantly surprised by its stylish and elegant atmosphere. The charcoal grilling produces delicious flavors without any bothersome smoke. What surprised me most was that I was able to get a table without a reservation on a Friday evening around 6:00 PM. The restaurant seems to occupy the second and third floors, which might explain why it's relatively easy to find a seat. I'll definitely consider coming back here if I find myself stranded on a weekend. Even without that, I'm eager to return to this fantastic izakaya. Apparently, they have other locations in Akihabara, Ueno, and other areas. The extensive menu offers a wide variety of dishes and drinks. They have many creative skewers, and I particularly enjoyed the shimeji mushroom with cheese and the nine-leaf leek wrap. The matcha highball, with its slightly bitter taste and robust foam, quickly became my favorite drink. I ordered the following: * Otoshi (¥352) * Omakase 5-piece skewer set (¥858) * Sasami with wasabi (¥220) * Nine-leaf leek wrap (¥275) * Kitaakari potato salad (¥539) * Mentaiko and shiso tempura (¥539) * Shimeji mushroom with cheese wrap (¥539) * Kaku highball (¥605) * Higecha highball (¥539) * Ebisu Amber (¥649) * Kin no Matcha Highball (¥539) * Oodama Ume Sour (¥539) Incidentally, the "Hikokuni Highball", named after the restaurant, is a highball with pickled ginger.
This restaurant is right outside the north exit. The service, food, and atmosphere are all fantastic. Even on weekdays, all three floors were packed. It's a testament to its popularity. I highly recommend making a reservation. I'll definitely be back!
Today, I visited "Torikokoku," a natural charcoal grilled yakitori restaurant, located just a minute's walk from Kinshicho Station! After a business meeting, I was looking for an izakaya (Japanese pub) since I had some free time. I found a yakitori place nearby, and it was only a minute's walk from the station, so I decided to go there immediately! It's great to have places so close to the station, right? It's also nice to be able to drink until the very last minute, haha. I was also quite hungry, so I ordered a variety of dishes this time. ● Mentaiko and Shiso Tempura ● Wagyu Sukiyaki Croquette ● Beef Tongue Sashimi ● Amakake (5 skewers) ● Bonjiri (chicken tail) ● Kitaakari Potato Salad ● Shiitake Mushroom ● Pork Belly Cheese Pepper ● Tsukune with Egg (chicken meatballs) ● Snap Peas ● Beef Tongue & Beef Tartare Rice ● Smoked Daikon Radish with Cheese Personally, I really liked these four dishes! ● Mentaiko and Shiso Tempura The bite-sized pieces were easy to eat and went well with the sake. The shiso was also tempura-fried and paired perfectly with the sake. ● Beef Tongue Sashimi This was seriously delicious. It was fresh, had no gamey smell, and the scallions were a great accent. I couldn't stop eating it. ● Smoked Daikon Radish with Cheese This is a must-have for sake lovers. Smoked daikon radish with cheese is always a good choice. I highly recommend ordering it! ● Snap Peas This was my first time trying it, but it was surprisingly good. I personally love vegetables, so I enjoyed it! Everything was delicious! It's close to the station, and all the food is delicious. The staff was also very friendly and the service was very quick, so I will definitely come back again! This was a great drinking session! Thank you very much! It was a delicious meal!
Located just a minute's walk from the north exit of Kinshicho Station, along the rotary, is "Torimitsu Kuni," a specialty charcoal-grilled yakitori restaurant. I visited on a Sunday around 6 PM, and it was quite popular, with about 80% of the seats filled. The interior has a modern Japanese atmosphere, with an L-shaped counter. If you sit at the counter, you can watch the skilled chefs carefully grilling the skewers. I ordered the following: * **Beef Tongue Sashimi:** Thickly sliced beef tongue served with sesame oil and lemon. It had a nice chewy texture and no gamey flavor. This tongue sashimi was absolutely delicious. * **Chicken Breast with Plum and Perilla, Chicken Breast with Cheese, and Moon-Viewing Chicken Meatballs:** The yakitori skewers were all quite large. The plum sauce was refreshing and complemented the perilla flavor. The cheese skewer also had perilla, which made it rich but still light. The creamy yolk of the egg went well with the savory and meaty chicken meatballs. * **Kitaakari Potato Salad:** This potato salad had chunks of potato and a soft-boiled egg on top. When you break the egg, the yolk flows out, making it visually appealing. It was also quite filling. * **Rare Cuts Platter:** This platter included Achilles tendon, skirt steak, "furisode" (a cut near the thigh), thigh tendon, and wing. I had never tried most of these cuts before. * **Achilles tendon:** The meat was springy and delicious. * **Skirt steak:** It had a good chewiness. * **Furisode:** The meat was fluffy. * **Thigh tendon:** It was truly tendon. * **Wing:** It was chewy, like gizzards. This platter of five rare cuts for ¥1078 was a great value. I highly recommend ordering it. * **Sweet Potato with Cinnamon Whipped Butter:** These sweet potato sticks were perfect for a palate cleanser. Once you start eating them, you can't stop. The sweet and savory flavors were amazing. * **Amaou Strawberries:** I finished with these strawberries as a palate cleanser. The yakitori skewers were all quite large, and they were so delicious that they were worth the price. They also have rice porridge and rice bowls for dinner, but they are quite expensive. I was too full to try them, but they all sounded delicious. There are many izakayas in the Kinshicho area, but if you want yakitori, Torimitsu Kuni is the place to go. Thank you for the meal! Here's what I ordered: * Cover charge: ¥352 * Cassis oolong tea x 4: ¥495 * Rare cuts platter: ¥1078 * Chicken breast with plum and perilla: ¥220 * Chicken breast with cheese skewer: ¥253 * Moon-viewing chicken meatballs: ¥275 * Liver: ¥210 * Kitaakari potato salad: ¥539 * Beef tongue sashimi: ¥869 * Sweet potato with cinnamon whipped butter: ¥529 * Seasonal gelato, Amaou strawberries: ¥319
