This izakaya serves a wide variety of dishes, from Japanese to Western and Chinese, and offers delicious and filling lunches. Located about a 1-2 minute walk from Tsukiji Station in Tokyo, "Tabero-ya Tsukiji Hyakuhachi" is a popular spot. When you take the elevator to the 4th floor, you'll see a large collection of Kinmiya sake bottles kept at the entrance, confirming its popularity. We waited about 10 minutes before being seated. This time, I ordered the "Yurinchi Set Meal." I was surprised by the incredible volume! It comes with salad and miso soup for only 800 yen, making it an amazing value. The best part is that rice refills are free! The crispy fried chicken coated in a special sauce is incredibly delicious and goes perfectly with the rice. The bold flavor is sure to whet your appetite. Plus, the drinks are also reasonably priced! This place is definitely a repeat visit for me. Be sure to check it out if you're in the area. ☺︎︎ Order List • Yurinchi Set Meal 800 yen • • ♪ About Me I love trying out different restaurants, whether it's places I find on Google Maps or Tabelog, or recommendations from friends. Tsukiji's "Tabero-ya Tsukiji Hyakuhachi" is a great izakaya with excellent value for money. They have mega highballs and mega draft beers, and I love the wide variety of snacks. It's a great place for drinkers. They have all the classics like karaage (fried chicken), but also unique dishes like avocado and seaweed, and takana (mustard greens) and egg rice. Everything is delicious and fun to try. It's the perfect place for an izakaya night in Tsukiji.
The mega-sized lunch series offered here was incredibly cost-effective, especially for the East Ginza and Tsukiji area. They had fried rice, Napolitan, and pan-fried noodles, all of which were delicious. I was so full that it actually affected my afternoon desk work, haha.
This restaurant is in an inconspicuous location, but it's great for everyday use. If you're tired of seafood in Tsukiji, this is a good option. I often stay in this area and was looking for a casual izakaya (not a chain) but couldn't find anything. I ended up remembering "Warai Warai" next door and decided to go there since there was nothing else. As I was walking towards it, I saw this restaurant's sign on the first floor of the building next door. The menu seemed to have similar prices to "Warai Warai." I decided to give it a try. The restaurant was empty when I arrived, and I thought I might have made a mistake. However, the service was quick, the food was decent, and the prices were reasonable. Seafood restaurants in Tsukiji tend to be a bit pricey for tourists. This restaurant is a valuable option for those looking for a more affordable izakaya menu. By the time I left, the restaurant was almost full. It's amazing how busy it is considering its location. I guess everyone knows about it. This is definitely a place I'll visit again.
