The lunch here offers the best value for money. I always order the "Sakanahachi Teishoku" (Fish Eight Set Meal) for lunch. For ¥820, the variety, volume, and taste are unbeatable. It's always crowded with customers, and there's usually a line. The meal includes plenty of vegetables, a whole piece of mackerel simmered in miso, two pieces of fried chicken, and pickles. The flavors are all good, and it's delicious. The rice portion is generous, so I always order it "small." The meal is very filling, and I often see construction workers from nearby sites coming here. If you're really hungry, you can order a large portion of rice, but I can't handle that much. Haha! Overall, it's a highly rated restaurant. The only downside is that cell phone reception is weak.
They served a whole boiled octopus! The price varies depending on the weight, but it's quite reasonable, so I recommend it for a group of four. (*ノω'*)
We enjoyed the ¥3,500 course with all-you-can-drink. The food portions were quite generous. The taste was decent. It took a while for drinks to arrive after ordering, but they didn't bother us with things like glass exchange rules, so we just ordered more and earlier to avoid any issues. What was interesting was that even after the course time ended, they didn't rush us out at all (laughs). Of course, we couldn't order more drinks, but we were able to relax and chat with the remaining drinks. Even after 30 minutes, they didn't say anything, so we left on our own. Even if the place was empty and there were no reservations, their approach was surprisingly pleasant.
The tuna yukke donburi was an alarming color, and the tuna was strangely dry. Honestly, it was not good. The ajifry was also greasy and made my stomach feel heavy. The table and tray were sticky. Honestly, I'm concerned about the hygiene. It's also concerning that there were no paper napkins or tissues. It's probably unavoidable because it's cheap, but I definitely won't be going back.
I had the bonito tataki donburi (¥780). I was surprised by the quality of the bonito, which had no fishy smell. The scallion, ginger, and salt sauce was also quite well-made. For this quality and quantity, I was satisfied. I thought that chain restaurants shouldn't be underestimated. I plan to come back occasionally until the season for first bonito ends.
