After a hearty meal and drinks in Shinbashi, I decided to have ramen for dinner at Tokyo Station's Ramen Street. As expected, it was packed. I found Ebisoba Ichigen, a ramen shop with its main branch in Sapporo, a little further away and decided to give it a try. I couldn't forget the taste of the ramen I had at the Sapporo branch. There was a line, but it was only 3-4 people, so I decided to wait. I purchased a ticket, handed it to the staff, and waited. I ordered the Ajimi Miso ramen, an egg, and gyoza. I was seated after about 10 minutes. The Ajimi Miso ramen had an incredible shrimp flavor, a rich and deep broth. The noodles were perfectly balanced. I'm glad I added the egg, it was delicious. The gyoza was also delicious. I was stuffed, but thanks to the drinks, my brain was a little fuzzy, and I ended up finishing the entire soup. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.
I recently visited "Ebisoba Ichigen" in the Yaesu Underground Shopping Center at Tokyo Station. 🍜 ✓ Highlights - Enjoy the taste of Hokkaido at Tokyo Station! - The ramen with its irresistible shrimp aroma is exquisite! - Conveniently located directly connected to Tokyo Station! ✓ Menu Ordered - "As Is" Miso ¥950 I visited on a weekend evening and was able to walk right in. I went back to "Ebisoba Ichigen" in Tokyo Station after a while. I chose the "As Is" miso, which allows you to fully enjoy the shrimp aroma and flavor. You can choose between "thick noodles" and "thin noodles", and I went with the thick noodles recommended by the shop. The soup was so delicious, I almost drank it all! It was truly delicious! 💖 I highly recommend trying their shrimp ramen! 🫶 Thank you for the meal!
I visited alone around 6 PM on a weekday at the end of June 2022. There was no wait and I was seated immediately. I had been to a different location before and was blown away by the intense shrimp aroma, so I decided to try this one. The shrimp onigiri, which I had enjoyed so much and ordered a second serving of last time, was sold out... It was disappointing. My ramen arrived after about 10 minutes. It was still delicious, but the aroma was weaker than before. I added some shrimp extract from the table, but I couldn't recreate the flavor from my previous visit.
It's located on the edge of the Yaesu Exit underground passage of Tokyo Station, if you walk towards Yurakucho. You order at a ticket machine. After purchasing your ticket, a staff member will guide you to your seat. You'll be asked if you want thick noodles. The standard is thick noodles, but thin noodles are also available. I had thick noodles before, so I chose thin noodles this time. First, the shrimp ramen with salt arrived. The dumplings arrived a little later. The shrimp flavor was present but not overpowering, so it was easy to eat. I enjoyed it.
I had been to Ichigen in Shinjuku a few years ago, about three times. While looking at the restaurant directory, wondering where to eat, I discovered Ichigen! I decided to visit. It's located quite far from the station within the underground food court. Because of that, most of the restaurants in the food court had lines, but surprisingly, there was no line here. I was able to walk right in. I ordered the "Plain" ramen for 950 yen. When I handed the ticket, I was asked if I wanted thick noodles. Personally, I prefer thin noodles, but they recommended the thick noodles, so I went with that. The shrimp broth was delicious. I remembered it being good when I ate it in Shinjuku, but I had almost forgotten. The noodles were also good, with a nice texture that went well with the broth. I personally love soup, so I thought this broth would be great even without the noodles, just as a shrimp soup with different ingredients (though I doubt a ramen shop would do that). Next time I'm at Tokyo Station, I want to try the "Flavorful Miso" ramen! Thank you for the meal.
