A haven for beer lovers. The beer, poured with meticulous care in a historic building, is truly exceptional. It's a lively beer hall, bustling with noise, but it's all part of the charm. Today, I ordered the summer-only Yamagata pork cutlet. It was a generous portion, satisfying and delicious. Highly recommended. I forgot to take a picture, but it looked exactly like the menu photo. I also really like their Napolitan. The traditional swing-tap, single-pour beer is fantastic, but the White Ale served in a glass is also amazing. I always love coming here, no matter how many times I've been. There's usually a long line, but I was able to get in within 15 minutes. They explained that the turnover is fast, and they were right.
I frequent various locations, including the 7th Street and Shinbashi branches, but the 5th Street branch is my favorite in terms of atmosphere. However, I've noticed a slight change in the taste of the "Spicy Konjac Stir-fry" and "Roast Beef." Also, it seems like the variety of appetizers has decreased. But, since I don't stay for long periods, and as long as I'm satisfied and can enjoy my drinks, it's not a big issue. The service remains excellent. The 4-5 floor staff members are always attentive to the customers and quickly respond to any unusual requests, such as "I need ice." However, since ordering is now done through a touch panel, they no longer take drink and food orders, so their job might have become easier. (I apologize if that's not the case.) The best thing is that they're open all day, so they can accommodate requests like "I want to drink from 3 pm or 4 pm."
I visited for lunch on a holiday. There were three groups ahead of me, but the restaurant has a lot of seats, so the turnover was fast and I was seated in about 10 minutes. They have a wide selection of beers, and the omu-hayashi rice was exceptional. The interior also has a nice atmosphere. The prices are a bit on the high side, but overall I was very satisfied.
Opens at 11:30 AM. We were a group of three and started with beer and appetizers instead of food right when the restaurant opened, and the bill ended up being around ¥7,000 per person. The draft Kirin Black Label is easy to drink and highly recommended. All the dishes were delicious, and the menu changes seasonally, making it a place I want to visit again and again.
I arrived just in time for lunch. I had the Napolitan, which was delicious! It had a classic feel and was very filling. The restaurant's atmosphere was also lovely.
