I finally got to visit this place I'd been wanting to try for a while! It was smaller than I expected, and one person would fill it up. They had a lot of unique flavors 😃. I tried caramel and chai, lemon ginger, and peach and Earl Grey…? I also got a free one as a bonus for buying a new product! It was orange and spice? I think 🍊. It said to store it below 10°C, but they didn't ask if I wanted a cooler… I ended up carrying it in the blazing sun… Looking at the ingredients, the spiced ones had a lot of spices! Black pepper, fennel, thyme, and more… The combinations are interesting😲. I also tasted a bit of salt. It wasn't the typical crispy and chewy texture of a canelé, but rather a semi-soft texture, almost like a slightly firm pudding. It had a bit of a crispy texture too. I'm not a huge fan of spices, so I'm glad I got to try it once…

**boB** 🥰 This is a super stylish and delicious canelé specialty shop in Harajuku! 🥳 I tried the "Awaseyuki Hanjuku Canelé" (Half-Boiled Canelé with Snow-like Texture) and the "Peach and Earl Grey" canelé. 😍 I wanted to try the "Two Strawberry Sisters Set", but unfortunately, one of the strawberry flavors was sold out right before my eyes. 😭 It was a bummer, but I still got the "Awaseyuki" and also picked up the Earl Grey because I was so intrigued by it. ♡ This was a unique canelé, called "Hanjuku Canelé" (Half-Boiled Canelé), with a crispy exterior and a moist interior. 🌸 It was the first time I've ever had a canelé that was this delicious! 🥺🥺🥺♡ This shop has definitely become a must-visit for me whenever I go to Tokyo! 😍

I ordered a set of canelé for souvenirs, canelé for myself, and a café latte. The canelé with cookies for myself was delicious, but the café latte was terrible. I often make café latte at home with espresso, and I drink it outside too, but this one was watery, so it tasted like café au lait (coffee with milk, not espresso) which I don't like. It also looked black and the ratio seemed reversed. Moreover, the acidity was strong, and I thought they used a type of bean (maybe instant coffee?) that's not meant for drinking with milk unless you're a coffee connoisseur. Honestly, I'd rather just have the canelé. I was looking forward to having a cold café latte with a milky flavor on a hot day, so I was very disappointed. Also, I was a little disappointed that there were only two options for the 4-piece set: either 4 plain canelé or one set of 4 different flavors. I wish they had more variety in the 4-piece sets. It would be great if they had gift boxes with individually wrapped canelé, even if they were just plain canelé.

While many canelé these days are on the smaller side, the ones here are a satisfying size, even just one. The chewy texture and sweetness are just right. The Harajuku store is a bit hard to find, tucked away down a side street. The shop is quite small, maybe just enough for two people. The Tokyo Station exclusive "Asamiyaki Hanjuku Canelé" (Morning-Baked Semi-Soft Canelé) is highly recommended! It's also a great souvenir. It's best enjoyed chilled!

Located on the first floor of YM Square, northeast of Meiji Jingu-mae Station, facing the alleyway between the building and Tokyu Plaza. The exterior is crispy, the interior is chewy, and every pastry is delicious, showcasing the chef's excellent taste. The canelé with fresh strawberries inside is a seasonal special, and the combination of strawberry and canelé is fantastic. It seems to sell out early some days. They say the next seasonal canelé will be available in June, and I'm really looking forward to it. The shop is decorated with lots of dried flowers, the staff are friendly, and it's a cozy place despite its small size.
