After watching a live stage performance in the square, I was looking for a restaurant that was open for lunch. I found this place and walked in 15 minutes before last order. I later found out it was a famous restaurant, and I was amazed by my luck! 👀‼️ As soon as I entered, I was told the last order and closing time in a rather blunt manner. However, the menu was clearly displayed, making it easy to order quickly. The set meal I ordered was surprisingly generous with the rice portion, but it was delicious, so I managed to eat it all. (No one could eat dinner after that.) The food was delicious, and even though the restaurant was busy, when I asked if I could get takeout on my way out, I was greeted with a wonderful smile and told, "Yes, you can. Please come back! 🥰" It's a bit far and I don't have any reason to go there otherwise, but next year, I'll make sure to visit leisurely before watching the stage.
I had been wanting to visit this place for a while since it was once fully booked, and I finally got the chance to go on a Sunday afternoon when my family was out and I was alone. I decided to have lunch and drinks at Manpuku Shokudo Toyosu Ekimae-ten. The menu mentioned that 90% of customers order their dumplings, so I ordered dumplings, half an order of karaage (fried chicken), and a beer. I wanted to try other Chinese dishes, but I thought I should order the karaage first. The dumplings were quite large and had thick skin, which I thought my daughter would like. However, I preferred the filling to be hotter. The karaage was piping hot and juicy, but both the dumplings and karaage were lightly seasoned, so I felt like they needed some kind of dipping sauce. After my beer, I ordered a slightly more expensive kachiwari lemon sour. I wondered what it would be like, but it turned out to be a lemon sour with a lot of thinly sliced and chopped frozen lemons. One drink wasn't enough, so I ordered a refill of the lemon sour. To fully enjoy it, I think you should order 3-4 refills. I enjoyed a solo lunch and drinks with dumplings, karaage, beer, and lemon sour on my day off.
The food is absolutely delicious! I had the beer and simmered tripe, the tuna and karaage set, and the gyoza, liver, and chives set. I ate with a friend and it was amazing. It's always packed, but it's so good I don't want to tell anyone about it. I found a great restaurant! 😋
This Chinese restaurant is located right in front of the Metro 6A exit at Toyosu Station. It has a wide variety of dishes, is reasonably priced, and serves delicious home-style food, which is why it's always crowded. Even for weekday lunch, prices start at ¥850, making it one of the most affordable options in the area (excluding Yoshinoya, Katsuryu, Marugame, CoCo Ichibanya, and First Kitchen). It's worth the wait, even if you have to arrive before 11:40 to avoid the line.
A local diner near Toyosu Intersection. They have a super extensive set menu with reasonable prices, so if you're ever in a bind near the station, just head here. It gets packed with nearby office workers during lunchtime. I think it's suitable for groups of four or less. I heard their fried food sets are recommended, but I ordered the tuna sashimi set (¥900). The tuna was good, but as a man, I felt the side dishes were a bit small. However, for this quality at under ¥1,000 near the station, I'd say it's satisfying. Next time I visit, I'll try one of the recommended fried food sets.
