Is the curry better than before? I recently ordered the half-Yomoda curry and half-tanuki soba set, and I think the curry has gotten better than it was a few years ago. I was so tempted to order the half-curry set instead, I wanted to eat more. It has a strong sourness and a sweetness that makes it delicious. It's listed as a specialty of the house, and you can tell they're confident in the taste of their curry. I think it's even better than some curry specialty stores. I was reminded why so many curry lovers are fans. I want to try the new store in Yurakucho and the Yomoda standing bar next time.
After a night of drinking with friends that stretched into Friday night, I ended up crashing at my friend's place. The next morning, craving a comforting bowl of soba, I found myself drawn to this place. This time, I ordered the spring onion tempura soba with a raw egg. I added the egg at the beginning but held off on breaking it until halfway through, saving the perfectly runny yolk for a flavor change later. The delicious soba and broth were just what my hungover body needed. For about 10 years, I used to order the curry set, but now I'm at an age where soba alone is enough, which is a bit of a shame. Thank you for always providing the best breakfast. I'll be back again soon.
I visited at night and appreciate that they are open until past 10 pm. There are other standing soba shops near Yurakucho Station, but I think the broth here is better. Their specialty is curry, and they also offer sets with soba and curry. You purchase tickets from a vending machine, which accepts cash or PASMO. The shop only has counter seating. Place your ticket on the counter and you'll be asked if you want your soba with hot broth (kake) or cold (mori). Then, just wait. While you wait, you can get water yourself. Your order will be served on a tray with a non-slip cloth, a nice little touch. The taste is as good as everyone says. There are tissues on the counter in front of the kitchen, but not on the vending machine side, so be careful. When you're finished, return your tray to the counter. If you're tired of ordinary standing soba, I recommend this place.
This curry and soba noodle restaurant is located near Yurakucho Station. I went there on the first day of a three-day weekend (Saturday) morning and it was a bit crowded. I ordered the morning curry set because I heard the curry was delicious. The soba noodles were good for the price, but the curry was a bit too spicy for breakfast. It was a delicious spicy flavor though. The restaurant looked like a standing soba noodle shop, but it had chairs so you could sit down and eat leisurely, which was nice.
Recently, while running errands in Yurakucho 🚃, I craved curry 🍛 but didn't have much time to spare. So, I decided to head to 'Yomoda Soba Ginza' 🚶 on a whim. This place was featured again on TV Tokyo's 'Ad Street' 🍛 special just last week, which prompted my visit 📺. Although it's a soba noodle shop, they're known for their delicious curry 🍛. I ordered the 'Yomoda Curry' for 630 yen from the ticket machine near the entrance. It's a Japanese-style curry based on soba broth, but it has a kick of spice that gives it a pleasant heat 🔥. It was so good, I couldn't stop eating the rice 😋. The bone-in chicken was also tender and delicious. I enjoyed a truly authentic Japanese-style Indian curry at a reasonable price. It was a great meal!🎶 Thank you for the delicious food 🙏
