I visited on a weekday in September 2024, having made a reservation online. The cafe was almost full in the evening. It's a stylish place that's good for taking a break. The shaved ice was delicious, but it's more suited for a group of friends than for hardcore shaved ice enthusiasts. The atmosphere is more conducive to socializing.
A stylish cafe tucked away in a back alley. I came here on a sweltering summer day for shaved ice π§ and coffee. As it's a popular spot, there was a line outside and I waited for 20 minutes before being seated. Finally, I got my long-awaited shaved ice. Payment is done at the counter. However, the price was shockingly high. Was it made with natural water? Is natural water shaved ice a rare commodity these days? Oops, I forgot to ask. But nearly 2000 yen for shaved ice is just laughable. The words 'It's just water!' from Koichi Domoto popped into my head. I regained my composure and ordered a washed coffee. What? It's sour. No, it's just lightly roasted. Maybe they use the same roast for hot and iced coffee. But the shaved ice was delicious. Or maybe it's because it was the most expensive shaved ice I've ever had? It has to be delicious. Ah, I see... As expected of Shibuya. Looking around, more than half the customers are foreign tourists. I guess 2000 yen is cheap for them.
Visited on September 2024. 'PAP. COFFEE' is a stylish cafe located between Takeshita Street and Omotesando. It's a coffee shop that proposes "new value of paper" and is operated by Sanyo Paper Industry Co., Ltd., a comprehensive printing and paper container manufacturer in Adachi Ward, Tokyo. This cafe offers "specialty coffee" and "shaved ice" in paper-based packaging, creating a unique space where you can experience the multifaceted charm of paper. While most customers seem to come for the shaved ice, I went for the coffee and didn't try the shaved ice. They offer a unique Thai fruity coffee. The shop is clean and the staff, who are fluent in English, are friendly and welcoming. You can tell that foreign visitors feel relaxed knowing they can communicate in English.
This is my favorite cafe. The coffee is great, but the shaved ice is beautiful and delicious. They have classic flavors and seasonal specials.
