A classic, long-established coffee shop! It's a historic coffee shop that makes you think only a select few could have frequented it in the past. The revolving door is a famous feature. I visited around 2:00 PM on a weekday and was told there was a one-hour wait. There was a line going up the stairs to the second floor, with the end of the line being about halfway up the stairs. However, I only actually waited about 25 minutes! Maybe the turnover is fast. I was seated on the second floor. The fireplace (which seems to be out of use now), antique furnishings, a china cabinet, a chandelier, European carpets - everything is so charming! The ceiling is high and there's a small skylight. The background music is classical! The lighting is a subdued warm color. I enjoyed a hot Antique Blend coffee and apple pie! The coffee is brewed at your table by staff who have passed a designated test. The aroma was deep and strong. The apple pie was a classic apple pie with cinnamon-infused apples that were full of flavor and a flaky crust. The cup and saucer were Noritake, and the cutlery was Narumi. There weren't many solo diners, and there was a mix of people of all ages. Perhaps because it's in Ginza, I felt like many people were well-dressed. It was a special experience where I could savor the history and luxury!

I knew the name, of course, but had never been here. There was a 1-hour wait that day... Even after getting a seat, there was a constant line! People were lined up along the stairs inside the shop. I wonder if there's a second floor? I thought it would be mostly rich, stylish ladies, but there were many families and 20-somethings, making it a welcoming atmosphere. Looking around the shop, a dazzling chandelier caught my eye. It had a modern feel, not at all old-fashioned. The seating is close together, so it's best to bring minimal luggage. Luckily, I was seated at the counter. There were several female staff members, and the service was incredibly polite.* "Ice Cafe Latte" The performance of pouring milk and coffee right in front of you is a highlight. "Savarin Orange" This cake is adorned with translucent orange slices like jewels. It's more like a brioche-like sponge than a cake. The whipped cream isn't too rich, making it perfect for a morning treat. It contains alcohol, so be careful if you're sensitive to it. "Toarcola Traja" This coffee is said to have been loved by European royalty in the past. The refreshing acidity and deep richness are perfectly balanced. It's just right for a morning pick-me-up. They also offer morning sets, with a 4-slice? bread, salad, and coffee for ¥930. It's surprisingly affordable compared to other shops in the area. Time seemed to pass slowly, yet it was a blissful moment that felt like a rollercoaster ride. I left after about 40 minutes, but it was a truly luxurious morning...
I skipped breakfast at my hotel and headed straight here, arriving almost as soon as it opened. Even on a weekday, there were already four groups of people waiting in line before it opened – it's incredibly popular! * Morning Set - ¥930 I asked for my blend coffee to be changed to iced café au lait (there's an extra charge for that). The atmosphere inside was calm and relaxing, and I was able to enjoy my breakfast leisurely. The service was also fantastic. The bread was chewy and delicious. I definitely want to come back again. Looking around, I noticed quite a few people who didn't order the morning set and were having apple pie instead. It looked really good too. Next time, I'll try the apple pie! Thank you for the meal!
This is a long-established cafe where a one-hour wait is practically the norm. The second floor is spacious and comfortable, but it takes about 20 minutes for your coffee to arrive after ordering. Then, when I ordered cake, it took another 20 minutes to arrive. Maybe they could improve their turnover rate if they served food faster?
I stopped by this cafe during my trip to Tokyo. I was specifically looking for their famous cafe au lait, which they mix right in front of you. The cafe au lait normally costs ¥1150, but it's much cheaper during their morning hours. The morning set looked delicious, but I ended up getting the eclair I had been wanting to try. It was 8:00 am. I arrived right when they opened, and it was already pretty busy, with people coming in one after another. It's a popular spot. The entrance has a revolving door, and the interior has a refined Showa-era feel. The coffee is brewed carefully using a drip filter. The staff are polite and professional.
