Asakusa is a popular destination for inbound tourists, and on weekends during cherry blossom season, it's incredibly crowded. Everywhere you go, you have to wait in line for lunch. But this bakery had a great selection of delicious-looking breads, and they even had some simple seating, so I decided to stop in for a quick cafe break. The olive bread had only one olive in it, which was a bit disappointing. The sesame anpan was small, but it was delicious. My mother needed to use the restroom, and the staff kindly informed her that it was located outside the store. I bought some sesame rusks to take home. They were light and crispy, and I thought they would be perfect for a child's snack. I often come to Asakusa for a stroll, so I'll definitely stop by again.
【Shop】 🚶♂️3-minute walk from Honjo-Azumabashi Station 🚶♂️5-minute walk from Asakusa Station, crossing the bridge 🕙Business hours: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM, closed on Tuesdays ★As of March 9, 2022, the hours are 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM! 🍴Eat-in is available. There are a few counter and table seats inside. Maybe less than 10 seats? They also had coffee and juice. 【Bread】 🍞The shop isn't very big, but it's packed with all kinds of bread. The selection is a mix of simple, savory, and sweet breads, with a good variety. There aren't any particularly unique breads, just the kind you'd find anywhere. Curry bread 150 yen → Crispy on the outside, sweet curry on the inside. The sweetness is a bit strong. Heidi 80 yen → Simple bread. Fluffy and delicious. Cream bread 150 yen → Sweet and simple cream bread. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced!
A location with a great view of the Skytree. The interior has an open and airy feel. The bakery seems confident in their custard cream bread, as they call it "Custard Cream Pan" instead of just "Cream Pan." And rightfully so, the custard had a rich, deep flavor with a slightly orange hue. The bread was a bit small, and the taste was average. The cinnamon donut had a nice aroma, but the taste was just okay. The prices are displayed in two ways: "Takeout" and "To Go." There was a wide variety of items to choose from.
I stop by every weekend morning to pick up lunch. Their variety of baked goods are all delicious. I always appreciate the greeting of "Welcome" and "Thank you" from the staff in the back, who are not visible from the front.
The bakery offers a wide variety of breads, from hard-crust to cooked loaves, with a lineup that leaves nothing to be desired! The prices are reasonable, and everything I've tried has been delicious. They also have an eat-in area where they serve soups and other items. I love buying delicious bread on a sunny, warm day and enjoying it by the Sumida River.
