I can't believe a place like this exists in Roppongi... For 800 yen, you get thick noodles and a hearty pasta dish. They even give you a raw egg for free! The staff told me to eat it like sukiyaki. It was a first for me. But first, I tried it plain... Delicious! It's not the kind of pasta you'd expect in Roppongi, in a good way. It's perfect for when you're starving at lunchtime. The flavor is bold, and they even have rice for 100 yen. Next time, I'll get some rice too. Halfway through, I added the raw egg. I cracked it into a separate dish and mixed it in, just like sukiyaki. It was so good! The rich flavor was coated smoothly, and I entered a second stage of deliciousness. The portion was big, it wasn't boring, it was cheap, and it was a truly delightful lunch. I'll definitely be back. Thank you so much for the meal!
I visited for lunch on a weekday. This B-grade gourmet restaurant is tucked away in a back alley in Roppongi. It gets quite crowded after 12 pm. I ordered the weekly special, the garlic butter chicken (regular). It was a very large portion, with a strong flavor, a true B-grade gourmet experience. The chicken was tender and the garlic and butter were well-combined, making it very delicious. The pasta was thick and soft. However, for this quality at under ¥1,000 in this area, I was satisfied. The music playing in the restaurant was classic 90s hits. Cash only.
The entrance is a bit hidden, so I almost walked past it!😹 It's on the corner of the street◎ The shop is quite small. It might be best for groups of up to four people. Everything on the menu is delicious!
A delicious izakaya (Japanese pub) located on a back street in Roppongi. It's close to Midtown but in a quiet location. I booked the ¥5,000 "5,000 yen course with all-you-can-drink, 8 dishes" from Tabelog. The interior isn't very spacious, but it's bright and lively. The course menu for this visit was as follows: * Crab miso salad with plenty of snow crab * Negitoro dip & avocado fries * Classic! Grilled〆サバ (marinated mackerel) * Fresh fish assortment, delivered directly from the source * Shrimp chili mayo * Bone-in chicken thigh * Final dish * Melty matcha blancmange As expected, every dish was incredibly delicious. The portions were also very satisfying. The all-you-can-drink menu was extensive, and I felt the value for money was excellent. I definitely want to visit again.
This is a great place to get a filling meal for a good price. You buy your ticket at the entrance and wait for a staff member to show you to your table. The food is quite flavorful, so you might get tired of it halfway through, but you can change things up with the raw eggs and curry powder provided on the tables. This allows you to enjoy the meal until the very end. They have a weekly changing menu, so you can come back again and again. They play Showa-era Japanese pop music, which is a big plus for older guys like me!
