This is a wagashi (Japanese confectionery) shop, so they don't serve meals. You can find them in most department store basements, but I particularly like the Nihonbashi Takashimaya branch. The staff's service varies, with some being terrible, but overall it's good. They're known for their 'Amo' sweets, but I remember being completely blown away when I received a gift from a relative decades ago. It was a three-tiered drawer filled to the brim with various sweets, back when the shop wasn't as well-known. Their recent hit is the 'Ishi Mochi'. It's like a deconstructed version of the 'Amo', if you will. I'm hooked! Give it a try.

This is the Kanetsuyojuen store inside the Nihonbashi Takashimaya. I was able to enjoy sakura mochi, a treat unique to this season. I prefer the Kansai-style type made with domyoji powder.

The sweetness was quite intense. It was supposed to be paired with tea, but the tea was gone, leaving only the sweetness.
