A tapioca shop in Harajuku. They make their tapioca from scratch. I ordered the brown sugar milk tea with mochi balls. The tapioca was chewy and the milk flavor was a bit strong. It was pretty good.

I ordered the brown sugar tapioca milk. Unlike other shops of this type, you can't choose the amount of ice or sweetness. The tapioca pearls are large, and they start out warm and gradually cool down, allowing you to experience different textures. However, there's a lot of ice, making it quite difficult to get to all the tapioca at the bottom.

I was craving tapioca in Shibuya and started searching for places, but many of the popular shops from back in the day were gone... The map showed a lot of places, but most of them had closed down. I was surprised by how quickly things change. In the midst of all this, I found this shop in Takeshita Street, Harajuku, which had good reviews, so I decided to visit. Takeshita Street was as crowded as ever, it was crazy. The shop is located in the middle of Takeshita Street. They have seating for dine-in, but there aren't many seats, so I think most people get takeout. (Looking at the photos, it seems like there might be seating on the second floor...?) I ordered the classic black sugar tapioca milk for 800 yen. They make it fresh after you order, so you get it piping hot, but it takes a while to prepare. They torch the black sugar at the end, which gives it a nice toasty flavor. The milk was just regular "delicious milk", which was reassuring in terms of taste, but I had some questions about the overall vibe. Haha. The tapioca was chewy, sweet, and delicious, and there was a lot of it! The milk was also delicious, and it was nice to have a tapioca that I really enjoyed after a long time. I was a little worried about the calories, but it was definitely a drink I'd want to get again.
