July 4, 2024 I got the roasted green tea (houjicha) ice cream cup! (¥500 including tax) I love matcha too, but I'm trying to be mindful of my caffeine intake, so I went with houjicha this time! The cute parent-and-child bears! ... They were mochi! 😁😁 They were on top of the ice cream, just on the front side, and I munched and crunched them! With Sensō-ji Temple behind you, Asakusa Shrine is on your left. ( ^ω^ ) After exiting the Nitenmon Gate, go straight, cross the intersection, and it's right there! It was a day so hot that steam was coming out of my head! ... Generally, on hot days, ice cream 🍨 feels more refreshing than soft serve 🍦. 😋😋 The temperature of the product is different, so ice cream is colder. ✌️✌️ ... The ice cream at Rai-ichi-cha is delicious! The restroom had two private stalls for women, which was great. It was a nice break from the heat! I enjoyed it! 😊😊 Next time, I'll try the matcha ice cream. 👍👍

The line at the register was slow, but there were plenty of chairs in the store so I was able to sit down. I ordered the darkest ice cream and a drink. Both were delicious! I feel like the other store a little further away has faster registers and more chairs, so it might be a better place to relax.

We stopped by for a break during our stroll through Asakusa! I had the concentrated green tea warabi gelato 😋, while my companion ordered the matcha latte 2 Koi! You can choose the intensity of the matcha, making it a dream come true for matcha lovers 😘. As the name suggests, the matcha was strong and the gelato had a variety of textures! ✨ I especially loved the warabi mochi at the very bottom 🎶. The only downside was that the size was smaller than I imagined from the menu photos, and the price was a bit high for the size... (laughs) I guess they want to increase turnover, so it's understandable, and it wouldn't be a problem for those who want to eat on the go, but the eat-in space only has benches, so it's not very relaxing. I wish there was a place to put your things. There was a line outside the shop, but the cream puffs were in a separate line, so they seemed to be moving smoothly. They also had matcha sweets that would be good for souvenirs, which caught my eye. This is based on my experience visiting in March 2024.

I visited on a weekend afternoon. It was bustling with foreign tourists. I ordered the matcha soft serve for 600 yen. The panda-shaped mochi was adorable, and the matcha soft serve was delicious with a mild bitterness.

This shop has always caught my eye every time I visit the Taidōkan for errands. It specializes in concentrated green tea sweets. I bought some concentrated green tea jelly, concentrated green tea pudding, and concentrated green tea Sanuki udon for home.
