After a satisfying food crawl through Tsukiji, I was driving to my next destination when I stumbled upon this shop. I couldn't resist picking up some treats to take home. 🐣 I got the 7-flavor tasting set. 🤗 It included plum, Japanese chestnut, and satsumaimo… an incredible lineup! 😅 But they were all delicious! 🥰💕 This is the perfect place to find souvenirs for egg lovers. 👍️✨
【Egg Desserts are Exquisite!】 They offer a wide variety of egg-based desserts, including cream puffs, pudding, and milkshakes. The cream puffs have a refined flavor. While not large, they are delicious. The milkshake is truly like drinking custard, but it's not overly sweet, making it enjoyable for adults. In fact, it's a flavor that adults can truly appreciate. Besides pudding and milkshakes, they also sell egg rolls and matsutake sandwiches.
I tried the "shu cream" at Tsukiji Matsuba, a sweets shop run by a famous tamagoyaki (egg omelet) restaurant. It comes in a luxurious box. The cream inside is a double of custard and fresh cream. The cream is definitely rich. The choux pastry is also fragrant and delicious.
When it comes to tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelet) in Tsukiji, Marutake and Matsuro are famous, but this shop focuses on desserts. Besides pudding and milk shakes, they also sell tamagoyaki and Matsuro sandwiches. The Matsuro sandwich is a tamagoyaki from Matsuro sandwiched between bread, but the tamagoyaki is only about half the size of the bread. If you're not careful, the tamagoyaki will fall out of the bread when you eat it. If this were improved, it would be even more delicious. The Matsuro sandwich is popular and often sells out, but there's a main store nearby (if the main store is sold out, try the new store. If the new store is sold out, the main store might have some, but the main store is often sold out). I recommend checking out both. Note that the tamagoyaki with fillings is available at the new store, but the main store has a wider variety.
I had been curious about the pudding made by Matsuba, famous for their tamagoyaki (rolled omelet), for a while now. The pudding is a two-layered creation, with a smooth, rich vanilla bean sauce topping a firm pudding. The sweetness was just right, not too cloying, and I devoured it in no time. Besides pudding, they also offered cream puffs, milkshakes, and something that looked like mochi made with mango and coconut.
