This popular restaurant often has a queue, but I was lucky to find only one group waiting ahead of me. While waiting, they pass around menus and order sheets, so it's good to decide what you want in advance. I ordered the recommended supreme (special ramen) + grilled beef rice set, and both the ramen and rice were packed with meat, making it a very filling meal. The ingredients were high quality, and while the meat was prominent, I actually think the noodles and broth were the real stars.
I recently visited 'Dame na Rinjin,' a ramen shop in Ningyocho! From the A5 exit of Ningyocho Station, it's a mere 3-second walk to the shop. This is a huge plus on hot days or when the weather is bad. The interior is stylish, and the staff greets you with smiles. You order by checking off items on a sheet and pay with cash or PayPay after taking a seat at the counter. This time, I ordered the SUPREME (Ginger Soy Sauce Special Ramen), Yaki-suki Gohan (Grilled Beef Rice), and Aoyama Soy Sauce SOBA (SUPREME). The SUPREME (Ginger Soy Sauce Special Ramen) has a light, mellow, and elegant soup with a fragrant ginger flavor. It's delicious! The noodles are made with whole wheat flour from Sugano Seimenjo, offering a great flavor and texture. The dish is packed with ingredients like tender char siu, crunchy menma, and a soft-boiled egg, making it quite filling. Even light eaters could be satisfied with a smaller portion of noodles. The famous Yaki-suki Gohan is served with a raw egg. The Kuroge Wagyu beef is tender, and the savory flavor of the sauce is luxurious. The Aoyama Soy Sauce SOBA is, without a doubt, my favorite oil soba I've ever had! The seasoning is subtle, but the refreshing aroma and flavor of the Aoyama pepper blend perfectly with the chewy thick noodles and nine-leaf green onions. It's amazing! You can customize the flavor with unlimited toppings like raw eggs, nori (high-quality nori from Yamamoto Nori!), garlic chives, soy sauce, bonito flakes, and pepper. This popular shop often has lines during lunchtime, but you might be able to avoid the wait if you go around 3-4 pm. It was incredibly delicious. Thank you for the meal.
This popular ramen shop is right next to Ningyocho Station. The ramen was delicious. The soup was light and refreshing with a hint of ginger. You can choose between thick or thin noodles. And the seaweed and raw eggs are all-you-can-eat. I didn't order the sukiyaki rice this time because I could kind of imagine the taste, but based on the owner's YouTube channel, it seems like they use really good meat and it's a great deal considering the cost. I was lucky to get a table in 2-3 minutes, but on weekends, there might be a long wait, so it's probably a good idea to be prepared for the heat during this time of year. 👍
I had the SUPREME ramen with grilled beef and rice (¥1,800). Both the noodles and rice come with free large portions, but I opted for the regular size. You can choose between thick or thin noodles, and I went with the thin ones. The clear soy sauce soup with a hint of ginger is refined yet full of flavor. Adding a touch of pepper from the table enhances the deliciousness of the soy sauce. The toppings included a marinated egg, a large, tender piece of char siu, and a smaller piece, making for a pretty substantial meal. The grilled beef in the rice dish was incredibly tender and packed with flavor. You can have as many raw eggs as you want, but one was enough for me. It's wonderful to be able to enjoy this kind of ramen so easily in Japan.
I've been to the Shinjuku branch before, but this was my first time at this location. I ordered the SUPREME and the grilled beef rice (¥1,800). Both the noodles and rice come with free large portions, which is a welcome service. The clear soy sauce soup with a hint of ginger has a refined flavor. You can choose between thick and thin noodles. The toppings include a large piece of char siu and smaller pieces ofバラチャーシュー, making for a substantial meal. The beef in the grilled beef rice is very tender and full of flavor. You can enjoy unlimited raw eggs, so I added two eggs to my rice and enjoyed it immensely.
