I've visited this place twice before, and it was so delicious that I forgot to take notes and couldn't write a review on Tabelog. It's one of my all-time favorite yakiniku restaurants! ● What kind of place is it? ・ Their special thick-cut tongue is the best I've had, surpassing any other restaurant! ・ Their carefully selected meats are exceptional! Even their regular cuts are high quality! ・ If you order only the truly delicious items, it will be a bit pricey. ・ It's a popular spot with many celebrity signatures, and now with a lot of overseas visitors, reservations are essential. It's a Hundred Famous Restaurants establishment! ● Orders (★★★★★ is a must-try, ◎ is recommended) ◾︎ Special Thick-Cut Tongue ¥5,060 ★★★★★ Don't be intimidated by the price!! It's the best tongue I've ever had, and everyone I've introduced it to says it's "delicious." It's over 1cm thick, yet incredibly tender and springy! It's already seasoned, so you can eat it as is, but the saltiness is just perfect. The tongue and the seasoning are a perfect match, a divine chemical reaction! ◾︎ Premium Sirloin ¥3,520 〇 Beautifully marbled, fantastic sirloin! You can sear it quickly and eat it right away, or cook it slowly over low heat until the outside is crispy for a different flavor. It's rich in fat, so it goes really well with wasabi! ◾︎ Special Thick-Cut Premium Liver ¥1,980 ★★ The representative of "jelly-like" liver, Araiya's liver! Just like the beef tongue, I come here specifically for this liver! It's so fresh, you can tell by the sharp edges. Quickly sear it and enjoy the sweet, tender liver inside! ◾︎ Lamp (Today's Special) ¥2,640 ◎ Not on the regular menu, this is today's special! Tender lamp with beautiful marbling! It's well-seasoned, so it's delicious even on its own. Of course, it's also amazing with the dipping sauce! It's a must-have for a one-bounce on rice!! It's very fatty, so you can also order it separately and eat it with wasabi, which is fantastic! ◾︎ Hormone Tomato Stew ¥858 Limited-time menu! The hormones are cooked thoroughly, making them tender and easy to eat! It's a Western-style dish at a yakiniku restaurant! ◾︎ Half Cold Noodle ¥880 ★★ You have to try this cold noodle when you come to Araiya! The flavorful broth and the noodles are a perfect match, it's irresistible! ◾︎ Homemade Smooth Pudding ¥495 ◎ Rich pudding! My friends and I were able to get together last minute, so I called and they had a table! We ordered: * Thick-cut beef tongue (half portion) * Skirt steak (half portion) * Sirloin (half portion) * Small rice & egg * Kimchi assortment * Bean sprout namul * Yukgaejang soup Everything was fresh and delicious! The beef tongue alone is worth the trip!
The tongue was the clear winner. This place is a must-book. For weekend reservations, it's recommended to book 2-3 weeks in advance. I visited for the first time because I wanted to try the special-selection liver. This time, I had the ¥8,800 course. The tongue was absolutely the most delicious, even more so than the liver! It was incredibly thick and the meat juice just oozed out, it was so delicious I almost flew away. When you sear the surface well, it's crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, making it incredibly delicious. The liver was also good, but I had gotten sick from eating it rare recently, so I was a little scared and cooked the first piece well-done. The second piece I cooked a little rarer (I can't help myself). It's definitely better when it's cooked a little rarer! It was thick, chewy, and delicious! I felt that the meat at Araiya is generally a bit fattier. For the offal, I tried a cut called 'menshi' for the first time. Menshi is from the jaw area, so it has a rather crunchy, firm texture. It's a different texture from shimacho, and it was incredibly delicious! And then... for the finale, you can choose between curry or cold noodles, and I chose curry! I was already incredibly full when the curry came out, but it was so delicious and the spiciness was addictive, so I couldn't help but eat it. It's hard to find a 'really delicious' curry at a yakiniku restaurant, but this one was amazing! And then, the strawberry ice cream that came out for dessert was absolutely delicious... ♡ It was a dessert made with Sagaho-no-ka brand strawberries from Ehime Prefecture, which are apparently quite rare! And they were huge! It was the perfect dessert to end the meal! Thank you for the meal.
I visited Aiyasan. I ordered a la carte, including thick-cut beef tongue, premium tongue, liver, heart, and premium skirt steak. The thick-cut beef tongue, heart, and skirt steak were delicious.
I finally got to visit! I had the ¥8,800 standard course. It was delicious. The tongue and liver were particularly impressive. The course ended with curry, which was also delicious! The restaurant was packed, as expected for a place with such fierce reservations. It's definitely worth the effort to go!
