This is a shop I really love, and I always end up buying something whenever I see it. Even though it closes at 8:00 PM, there were already 6-7 people lined up right before closing. It's close to the Yaesu North Exit, so maybe a lot of people come to grab takeout quickly, which might be why it's always crowded. I've tried a lot of things, but I always end up getting the truffle bread. It's just so good!
I bought white truffle bread, croissants, and fresh donuts. To be honest, even for Tokyo Station, I felt the prices were quite high. However, the white truffle bread, which they limit the number of per customer, was incredibly delicious. I will definitely buy it again. The fresh donuts were also pretty good. Well, the price is a bit of a concern, but I think they are delicious.
It's helpful to be able to grab some bread from here when I'm taking the Shinkansen (even though it's outside the ticket gate). I've always loved their white truffle salt bread. It's gone up in price a bit, but it's still affordable. The other breads are delicious too, but they feel a bit pricey.
The seaweed butter salt bread is quite clever. The bread itself could be a bit more flavorful, though. The seaweed butter is milder than Bordier butter, which I prefer. I think the savory breads at this bakery are better. The simple ones seem to highlight any flaws, you know?
While searching for breakfast before boarding the Shinkansen, I was drawn in by the aroma of truffles and discovered a bakery with a line! I had seen it on TV before and was curious, so I decided to join the queue. The ordering and payment process is separate, making it very efficient. I bought a truffle salt bread, seaweed salt bread, Hokkaido corn bread, croque monsieur, and some chocolate pastries. Even considering that they weren't freshly baked, the taste was still incredibly impressive. The truffle salt bread, in particular, not only had a wonderful aroma but also a distinct truffle flavor. I read reviews mentioning that the taste differs from the main branch, so I'm definitely going to try their bread at the main branch next time.
