I visited on a Saturday when they opened, and there were a few people waiting. After they opened, there were frequent customers, including Indians, and by the time I finished eating, there were about 20 people. I ordered the biryani. It was served quickly, and while not individually prepared, it was freshly made and delicious. The price was also reasonable for lunch. The staff were friendly, and I will definitely be back. (When I asked if they sold curry leaves for home use, they gave me some free dried ones as a service. Thank you.)
The aptly named "Muslim Set" Returning to this restaurant after a while, I knew the lamb biryani was delicious, and I wanted to try more of their dishes. So, I ordered the set. Lamb Biryani: Probably a half-size biryani. Refreshing! And quite spicy. There were large chunks of bone-in meat buried within. I mixed it all together with the raita and took a bite! It was a dizzying deliciousness. Soup: It was probably rasam. A bit salty, but spicy! The beans at the bottom were also delicious. Half Seekh Kebab: This was also delicious with a refreshing spice blend. It had a real "meatiness" to it, which was great. It was only half, but it was enough to savor the flavors. Curry: I chose the Keema Curry Korma. The meatiness and spices battled it out in a delicious way! I wanted rice, but since the biryani was already included, this set came with naan. It was a good match! It was crispy and not too sweet, a great naan. Drink: I chose the "Lucky" drink. It was quite thick and lively in flavor. At ¥1,850 for lunch, it's not something I can afford to eat every day, but it was a set worth more than its price. There are many other lunch sets for around ¥1,000, with equally good content, making this a fantastic restaurant.
Both the curry and biryani were authentic and packed with spices, making them incredibly delicious. The portions were quite large, leaving me feeling very full. There was a wide variety of curries, biryani, tandoori chicken, naan, rice, cheese naan, and more, all of which were delicious. The restaurant was clean and the food arrived quickly. They also offer takeout, making it highly recommended.
Arriving around 1 pm on a Sunday, I was a little intimidated by the line of about 10 people in the sweltering heat... but there were no other promising places around, so I resigned myself to waiting. The turnover was surprisingly fast, and I was able to get in after about 15 minutes (phew!). I ordered the lunch biryani (mutton) for ¥1,090 and a half kebab for ¥350. The lunch biryani comes with a drink (only lassi, cola, or oolong tea are available), a strangely wilted salad with tofu on top, a yogurt raita for changing the flavor of the biryani, and a spicy rasam soup (again, a rather small portion) as standard. The biryani rice, cooked to a fluffy perfection, hides chunks of mutton underneath. It's quite meaty, so if you order a tandoori chicken on top, it might be too much for women... That said, I think this is one of the top 5 biryani restaurants in Tokyo. The service is a bit salty, and the constant clanging of plates and cutlery near the kitchen is quite loud and distracting. However, I've been disappointed by many a fake biryani in the past, so this biryani, which is well-made for the price, is highly recommended. I'll definitely be back. <Note> - Credit cards are not accepted during lunch time, cash only. - The people at the table next to me had ordered a lot of food and asked to take the leftover curry home, but they were told "We don't do takeout in the summer." It's best to order only what you can eat. - This is a halal restaurant, so there's no alcohol! Not recommended for those who want to enjoy tandoori chicken with beer! (Not sure about dinner time.)
This is an authentic Indian curry restaurant with delicious food. The curry was incredibly flavorful, but also very spicy, and I ended up eating it with tears in my eyes. The meat skewers were so aromatic and delicious that I ordered them to go the next day. The generous use of spices left a spicy aroma lingering in the train, but it was still amazing when I got home. I highly recommend trying the meat skewers in the restaurant. The interior is elegant and would be perfect for a date. The staff were also very kind. Since there were many foreign guests, English was spoken throughout the restaurant, making me feel like a tourist in a foreign country. I was a little nervous to speak to them, but they were able to communicate in broken Japanese, which put me at ease. Thank you for coming all the way from India to make such delicious food.
