On September 28, 2024, I visited Ichizu for the first time, as it came up on a Google search when I was in Kinshicho. I ordered the ramen (all regular). The back fat was plentiful, but the soup was surprisingly clean and refreshing. There was a touch of chili pepper in the broth, which added an unexpected kick. It was so delicious that I would definitely eat here twice a month if I lived nearby.
For lunch, I ordered a ramen for ¥880 and a raw egg over rice (¥130, ¥230 outside of lunchtime). The staff was very kind and friendly! The soup and noodles were okay, I guess it's a matter of preference. The egg over rice was a good complement and made the meal quite filling. Even with less back fat, there was still a good amount. It wasn't overly rich, but had a soy sauce flavor. A lot of older people were dining there, so maybe it's a flavor that's easy to eat.
I was craving ramen after work and decided to try a place I'd never been to before. Since it was the weekend, I went for the spicy garlic dipping noodles. Personally, I would have liked a stronger garlic flavor. I think the noodles would be even better if they were thicker and had more substance. I'll definitely come back again when I'm craving garlic ramen.
This is a very small shop, but it's been around in Kinshicho for a long time, so I thought it must be good and decided to give it a try. Since it was my first time, I ordered the regular ramen. They offer free rice with lunch, but I'm a light eater so I declined. You can customize your order with things like noodle firmness and backfat amount, but I went with everything normal. After a while, the ramen arrived! It was completely covered in backfat. If I had ordered extra backfat, it would have been a disaster. The noodles were thin and straight. The broth was a light chicken-based broth. There was a lot of backfat, but it wasn't greasy at all and it was delicious. As I ate, the spiciness gradually increased. Apparently, there's chili pepper at the bottom, so you can enjoy a change in flavor. It's interesting, but if you don't like spicy food, you might want to ask for less chili pepper and see how it goes. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!
I ordered the limited-time "Cold Shrimp Broth Salt Ramen with Large Portion (¥1080 + ¥100)"... The "Wo-niku" (two slices) is topped with a special shrimp powder, and the cold, light soup, which is likely a blend of dried ingredients, delivers a genuine shrimp broth flavor. The thin, curly noodles, which are perfectly chilled in cold water, have a nice bite. ( ゚Д゚)ウマー♪...The noodle portion is quite generous, even with the large portion, with nearly 300 grams of uncooked noodles, providing ample satisfaction. I actually considered ordering the free rice offered during lunch instead of the large portion and making a "self-made tea-soaked rice" with this ramen...(^_^; The "Wo-niku" topping, although described as "original low-temperature cooking," is almost warm like typical ramen meat, making it a bit too firm for my liking. However, the soft, tender "ho-saki" menma (3 pieces) and the crunchy, plentiful nine-leaf green onions are excellent! (≧∇≦)bグー♪ The cut lemon, which is meant for flavor variation, was also surprisingly good. Next time, if I visit at the same time of day and it's still available, I'd like to try the "Cold Miso Ramen, Regular Portion" and the free rice offered during lunch. ...ヽ(´▽`)/
