Located near the Kabuki-za Theatre in Higashi-Ginza, this izakaya (Japanese pub) is dedicated to high-quality ingredients and sake. It strikes a perfect balance between a casual izakaya and a refined Japanese restaurant. While offering a more sophisticated atmosphere than a typical izakaya, it boasts exceptional cuisine at a significantly lower price than a high-end Japanese restaurant. The highlight is undoubtedly the all-you-can-drink course for ¥8,000 (including tax, as of 2024). It features a selection of delicious sake, primarily from the Tohoku region, along with nine delectable dishes, all enjoyed over a leisurely three hours. The value for money is simply unbeatable. While it's tempting to order sake from the menu "from top to bottom," the manager (or perhaps the owner) will often suggest pairings, saying something like, "This sake would go well with the next dish." Based on social media posts, I had envisioned a spacious and upscale establishment. However, the actual space was more intimate and cozy, creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
I was looking for a good izakaya in Ginza on Google and this one looked promising, so I decided to try it for the first time! The verdict... "A huge success🎯!!!" There was no background music, but the atmosphere, vibe, and energy of the place were palpable. You can even choose between warm, cold, or lukewarm hand towels! Every menu item and drink came with a detailed explanation, showcasing the care and attention to detail that goes into the ingredients and preparation. But it was never overwhelming or pretentious, just very comfortable. My important time with my friend was made even better by the delicious food and drinks. Thank you for the meal 😋 I'll definitely be back!!
A hidden gem of an izakaya tucked away underground. They offer three types of hand towels: cold, warm, and body temperature. The appetizers are delicious. The salad with roast beef is served in a bowl-like fashion and is also very tasty. There are no bad dishes here. The portion sizes are a bit small. The price of highballs is around ¥1,000, which is a bit pricey. It might not be suitable for those who want to drink a lot. It's perfect for those who want to enjoy a few drinks and a variety of delicious dishes.
Late-night restaurants in Ginza often have a reputation for overpriced food and drinks that are overly strong to encourage more consumption. So, I usually go in with lowered expectations... But this place completely exceeded them! Everything was delicious and truly impressive. Each dish had a distinct presence. The selection of drinks was also excellent. With seating options like tatami rooms, a counter, and tables, this restaurant is perfect for various occasions. ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ ❤︎ Appetizer: Mountain Yam Somen Noodles These were incredibly delicious! The size of the lotus root and smelt was truly impressive. 【Special Dishes】 ❤︎ Fresh Chili Cucumber This was a first for me! The cucumber was topped with a paste of ground chili peppers, and I enjoyed munching on it. ❤︎ Fried Cod Milt This was so good! The broth was deeply flavorful. ❤︎ Sauce Yakisoba I had this for my final dish! The chewy noodles and generous amount of ingredients were fantastic. ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈
Everything was delicious... This restaurant is located on the basement floor. As you descend the stairs, you'll find a charming establishment. This time, I made a reservation and ordered from the course menu. I was captivated from the very beginning. While presenting the menu of the day, the staff meticulously explained each ingredient in order, starting from the top. They also carefully inquired about any dietary restrictions or allergies. It was incredible. This was the first time I'd encountered an izakaya that provided such attentive service, and I was deeply impressed. Every dish was simply delicious. They also have a selection of excellent sake. I'd love to come back and try the a la carte menu, and I definitely want to bring friends and family here. The atmosphere is always lively. The service and food are both top-notch, making it a perfect spot for a date. I don't think you can go wrong with this place. I'll definitely be back!
