The restaurant has only a counter, and the owner runs it alone. This time, I ordered a "hamburger, soba noodles, and a drink." When I asked for a recommendation for the hamburger, the owner said there wasn't anything in particular, so I chose the spicy chicken burger. The spicy chicken was delicious, but the bun was soft and mushy, like a store-bought hamburger that had been microwaved. The soba noodles were unremarkable. The jasmine tea was very tasty! ☺︎︎ Order List: • Hamburger, soba noodles, drink (jasmine tea) 750 yen • • ♪ About Me: I go to eat at various places, including restaurants that I find interesting on Google Maps and those recommended by friends. I want to introduce them on Instagram, but I'm lazy. If you follow me, I'll follow you back! @k.gourmeet
This hidden bistro is located just a one-minute walk from Higashi-Ginza Station, behind the Kabuki-za Theatre. There are no large signs, creating a hidden gem atmosphere. My companions all had trouble finding it, so be careful when searching for the place! The restaurant has a counter on the first floor and table seating on the second. The menu is displayed on an iPad, which also lists the alcohol and bottled wines. While they might have other options if you ask, the selection of bottled wines isn't extensive and can be a bit pricey. The food menu isn't very large either, making it easy to decide. Since we were a group of six, we ended up ordering everything we wanted rather than deliberating. However, even though it might have just been a coincidence, the food took a while to arrive. We ordered a platter of appetizers for each person, sausage for the meat dish, and cod potato gratin. By the time all of this arrived, we had already finished two bottles of wine, so unfortunately, we had to skip the meat and pasta dishes and head to a second location.
We visited on Monday at 7:30 PM. It was empty, just us. We sat at the counter, but we didn't have to worry about anyone else and could enjoy our meal leisurely. The appetizers were incredibly generous and delicious. There were so many game dishes, it was hard to choose. I ordered the duck roast. It looked like they put a lot of care into the cooking, the sauce, and everything. It was absolutely delicious. Next time, I want to try the venison burger.
A hidden gem in Higashi-Ginza! It's tucked away in a narrow alley, so it's easy to miss, but it's been around for 11 years. It's definitely a well-known spot. The unpretentious owner adds to the charm! The first floor has a counter with about 7 seats. The second floor has about 20 seats. It's amazing that one person prepares all the dishes! The food comes out at just the right time. Impressive! At first, I thought the owner might not be very talkative, but when I spoke to him, he was really fun. It's easy to see why it's so popular. The food is simple and delicious. The wine went down smoothly! It's a great place to go solo.
Every dish was meticulously prepared and delicious! You can tell the owner puts a lot of love into their cooking. It was a wonderful restaurant. I definitely want to go back! The texture of the meat was amazing!
