I finally visited Saeki, a sushi restaurant I've always admired! They only offer one course, priced at ¥44,000 😳✨. It was matsutake mushroom season, and they generously served us plenty of matsutake, their aroma alone was enough to make me want to drink more sake ☺️. Every dish, from the individual plates to the nigiri, was truly impressive. It was a precious experience, fulfilling my long-held desire to dine here. The chef was also very approachable, making for a truly comfortable and enjoyable evening 🙂✨. I definitely want to return for another special occasion!

The head temple of the Saeki Group. Every ingredient is of the highest quality, and from the appetizers to the nigiri, the presentation and explanations are both bold and delicate, showcasing the essence of Japanese cuisine. The atmosphere of the restaurant is upscale, but not overly decorated, giving a sense of true dedication to quality and substance. The opportunity to witness the creation of the mackerel pressed sushi using a dedicated pressing board, and the presentation of the beautifully filleted fish, added a live element that made the dining experience enjoyable.

Sushi Saeki in Ginza This was my first visit. The ingredients were beautifully displayed before the dishes were served. The dishes and sushi were all exceptional, living up to the expectations set by the ingredients. There were many courses, and I was completely satisfied. Thank you for the delicious meal!

This is a restaurant that's incredibly difficult to get a reservation at. It's the head of the Sae-ki group, a two-Michelin-starred establishment owned by Chef Saeki himself. They currently have branches in Ginza, Kyoto, Kita Shinchi, Sushi Shirokane, Sae-ki Rou-sen, and Sae-ki, and they rotate their chefs between them. The head chef mentioned that it's challenging but enjoyable. As it's known for having the best appetizers in Japan, the meal starts with a luxurious selection of appetizers. All the dishes were incredible, even for a seasoned Japanese cuisine connoisseur. The sushi, of course, was phenomenal! I'll definitely be back when I can get another reservation.

The uni (sea urchin) donburi was absolutely delicious. The chef generously served fresh, seasonal ingredients, and the atmosphere was perfect for a business dinner or a date.
