A cafe located just a minute's walk from Asakusa Station, making it relatively convenient! The cafe is relatively spacious with plenty of seating, making it a great place to relax and unwind. I went in to escape the heat, and the cool interior was very comfortable. The sweet potato paste was also very delicious with a subtle sweetness. It's available for takeout, but it only lasts until the next day, which is a bit disappointing! I wish it could last for about two weeks so I could give it as a gift. (≧∀≦)
I had the sweet potato soft serve parfait. This must be my third or fourth time having it. There are so many other things I want to try, but I always end up ordering this. It's a sweet potato extravaganza with sweet potato soft serve, sweet potato paste, and a sweet potato mochi base. It's absolutely delicious. It was a Saturday morning, so the shop was empty and I was able to relax and enjoy my time.
The prices are reasonable, making it a perfect spot for a break. The sweets are a soothing treat. The anmitsu was delicious, with just the right amount of sweetness and a reasonable price. The warabi mochi was also delicious. The collaboration with Monchhichi made the kids very happy.
The system that allows for a 90-minute break even during busy times is great. The sweet potato soft serve parfait with sweet potato paste is definitely better than the regular sweet potato soft serve. It has a variety of flavors and is highly recommended.
This is a cafe run by the famous wagashi (Japanese confectionery) shop, Funawa. They offer a variety of sweets, including sweet potato paste, cakes, and parfaits, but their most popular item is the sweet potato soft serve ice cream. It's a generous portion and a must-try if you're visiting Asakusa, as it's only available at this location.
