The cream puff made with Madagascar vanilla beans is the best! The crispy pastry is filled with plenty of cream, making it perfect for a dessert after a meal. Located about a 2-3 minute walk from Tsukiji Station in Tokyo, is "Rokkakudou Factory." I always pass by, but I've never seen any customers, so I decided to give it a try. Based on the shop's recommendation, I ordered the "Vanilla Cream Puff" this time. It's the size of your palm and comes wrapped in paper. The most interesting thing is the crispy puff pastry. It has a cookie-like texture, but it's not crumbly, it's just right. The cream inside has a faint vanilla aroma and is surprisingly light and sweet, making it elegant. If you're in the neighborhood, be sure to check it out. ☺︎︎ Order List • Vanilla Cream Puff 420 yen • • ♪ Self-Introduction I go to eat at various places, including shops that I found on Google Maps and Tabelog, and shops that were recommended by friends. I'd like to introduce them on Instagram, but I'm slacking off. @k.gourmeet I post on Google Maps and Tabelog, so please check them out.
Popular cream puffs and financiers at Tsukiji! I visited "Rokkado Factory", a bakery located a 3-minute walk from Tsukiji Station. There's usually a line, but I happened to pass by around noon on a weekday and there was no queue, so I joined in. I bought a vanilla cream puff for 390 yen. The custard in the cream puff was rich and had a good vanilla flavor. It was delicious with the crispy pastry. I enjoyed it until the very last bite.
I enjoyed the cream puff at the shop. The crispy crust was quite nice. It wasn't too sweet, which was good. The combination of the warm crust and the cold cream was excellent. This is definitely something you should eat fresh. I also bought a brownie and a financier to take home. Baked goods have been reaching a higher level of quality in general, so these didn't leave a particularly strong impression.
Tucked away in a backstreet of Tsukiji, just in front of Tsukiji Elementary School, lies a small sweets shop. Their offerings are simple: only cream puffs, financiers, and pudding. I had visited this shop under a different name before, but this was my first time since the name change. It turns out this is the same shop as Ryokakadou, which used to have a location in Ginza, and this particular store is a direct-sale outlet from their manufacturing facility. Their most popular item is the Petit Financier. But I couldn't resist the cream puffs, so I ended up buying three items: ☑ Petit Financier (10 pieces) ☑ Vanilla Cream Puff ☑ Chocolate Cream Puff 『Petit Financier』 10 pieces: 540 yen 15 pieces: 810 yen 20 pieces: 1080 yen 25 pieces: 1350 yen The surface has a slightly crispy texture, and the financier is rich with butter. The small size makes them easy to eat one after another, so they'd be perfect for sharing with friends. 『Vanilla Cream Puff』 Made with plenty of Madagascar vanilla beans. The cream puff has a satisfyingly crunchy texture. The chocolate cream puff is a limited-time offering.
## November 2023 I bought a cream puff and a financier. The cream puff had a luxurious pastry shell and a rich, subtly sweet cream. It was definitely delicious, but the experience wasn't particularly memorable. Maybe I had set my expectations too high... The financier was a different story. It had a rich aroma of butter and almonds, a satisfyingly crisp texture, and a deep buttery flavor. It was truly exceptional! 😳 ## January 2024 I bought a financier and a brownie. The financier was just as delicious as the last time. The brownie was rich with chocolate and had a subtle sweetness. Once I started eating it, I couldn't stop. It was absolutely delicious! ❤️
