The Oak, the bar at Tokyo Station Hotel, which had been closed since April, reopened today, July 4th (Thursday) at 5:00 PM! So, a colleague and I went there for drinks in the evening before dinner. There were about six seats at the counter and two sets of tables with four sofas each. We sat at the counter. The chairs were plush and comfortable. We were told that they had recently replaced the chairs. We looked at the menu after taking our seats. Single malt whiskies and bourbons ranged from ¥2,200 to ¥3,800, while standard cocktails were mostly around ¥2,200. Please note that all prices listed on the menu include consumption tax and a 15% service charge. There were no additional charges (such as a table charge). Here are the cocktails I had this time: * Vodka Tonic @ ¥2,250 > It was a refreshing and delicious vodka tonic. * The Oak Style @ ¥2,150 > This is an original cocktail based on gin. It contained gentian liqueur and other ingredients. It had a strong alcohol flavor but was also sweet and easy to drink. The subtle bitterness of the herbs was a nice accent. It was a delicious cocktail. My colleague who went with me had a single malt GLENDRONACH Revival 15-year-old and a bourbon Blanton Gold. They had a very nice aroma. They kept saying how delicious they were as they drank. We had a fun, delicious, and luxurious bar time while chatting casually with the bartender. Thank you for the delicious meal.

It's only open three days a week and the last order is at 9:30 PM, so I haven't been able to visit often, but I'm glad I finally made it. After dining at a restaurant in the basement of the Tokyo Station Hotel, I asked the waiter to make a reservation for me at Oak. The hospitality at the Station Hotel is truly exceptional, even in the restaurants. The interior is elegant and refined, creating a calming atmosphere. The staff here are also polite and provide refined hospitality with a touch of grace. Ah, pure bliss. The cocktails were delicious, and I had a wonderful time. I definitely want to go back! Thank you for the meal!
I'm so happy I finally got to come here! ( ; ; )♡ It's hard to find a day that's not booked up. The atmosphere and service are absolutely amazing! Before coming to this bar, I was having dinner at a restaurant in the basement, but they made a reservation for me and smoothly escorted me here. As expected of the Tokyo Station Hotel! I will definitely come back again◡̈♥︎
Stepping through the heavy wooden door, you're greeted by an authentic bar with a sophisticated ambiance. It's always crowded due to its limited seating capacity. I asked the bartender for a recommendation and they suggested their original cocktail, "Tokyo Station." It's a refreshing and delicious drink, similar to a Sidecar. I also ordered a Glenmorangie highball, but the glass was small and underwhelming. It didn't allow me to fully appreciate the aroma, which was disappointing. Additionally, I wished the bartender had smiled a bit more.
This is an authentic bar I always visit when staying at the Tokyo Station Hotel. However, sometimes the timing is bad and it's very lively, or rather, the inside is too noisy. Maybe it's because of the location in Tokyo Station? The bar's design and menu are authentic, but sometimes it has a casual pub-like atmosphere. I don't eat here, but the food menu is extensive, and I often see customers who seem to be there for the food rather than the drinks. Additional Note: It's been so long since my last visit, I can't even remember when it was. I was surprised to see the legendary bartender, Sugimoto, behind the counter. He's still working! I'm surprised he's still active. He must be in his 80s, but watching him shake the shaker and pour drinks isn't cool, it's just heartwarming.
