## Mini Chocolate Banana Parfait (with drink) ¥1,980 ## Mask Melon Shortcake Cake Set (with drink) ¥1,678 I often use this place when I need to get something done at Ueno Station (and don't want to walk around). Depending on the day and time, there can be long lines, and I've waited up to an hour before. But on weekdays at 2:30 PM, I was able to get in right away! The parfait is a classic combination of coffee-flavored chocolate sauce and ripe bananas. It's a simple parfait that lets the sweetness of the bananas shine through. The limited-time Mask Melon Shortcake is a must-try. As expected from "千疋屋", the fruit is delicious! The melon shortcake is so refreshing and flavorful!
The Sennari Fruit Parlor. I couldn't forget the amazing melon I had at Sennari before, so this time I went to the shop looking for cake. The elegant cakes were shining. Looking at the menu, everything was quite expensive. Truly worthy of being a purveyor to the Imperial Household. I hesitated for a moment at the luxurious price, but after tasting it, I understood. This flavor can't be found anywhere else. It's expensive, but delicious, a truth I was reminded of once again.
I visited on a Saturday afternoon in May, around 2:00 PM, and there were already 5 or 6 groups waiting to be seated. I waited about 30 minutes to get in. This time, I had the fruit waffle and cake set. The waffle takes a bit of time to bake, but it's worth the wait because you can enjoy the crispy texture of freshly baked waffle. I'll try the fruit curry next time.
I went there specifically for the shaved ice. I ordered melon and grape. It wasn't the trendy fluffy shaved ice, but the crunchy kind that gives you a headache. I guess that's just not my preference, so I'll let it slide. The problem was the melon was rock hard and not ripe at all. It wasn't sweet either. If they're using the name of a fruit shop, shouldn't they know how to ripen fruit? I'm really disappointed. For ¥3,850, they should be serving juicy, sweet melon.
The fruit in the fruit sandwich was quite tart, so it might be a matter of taste. The curry was delicious. Lunch includes a set of curry and sandwich, plus soup and dessert. It was a great deal! ✨ I want to try their parfait or shaved ice next time. 🎶
