I visited this restaurant for dinner on the day I went sightseeing in Asakusa. I ordered the beef cheek stew in red wine because it looked delicious. I wanted to order a salad too, but since I was dining alone, I was unsure if I could finish it. The manager suggested a small appetizer platter that would be perfect for a single person, so I let them create a platter for me. The appetizer included salad, ratatouille, salmon carpaccio, liver, and other items, allowing me to enjoy a variety of flavors. The ratatouille and the liver, whose type of meat I can't recall, were particularly delicious, especially the liver, which melted in my mouth. The main course, beef cheek stew in red wine, was incredibly tender and fell apart easily, requiring no knife. It came with a mashed potato-like side that was also smooth and delicious. The only minor drawbacks were that the bread could have been softer and the waiter was a bit too attentive, making me feel a little uncomfortable. However, aside from those points, I was very satisfied. The manager was very friendly and welcoming, so I definitely plan to visit again when I'm in Tokyo!
I've been here dozens of times, but I never noticed this place before. I saw it on a map with high ratings, so I decided to check it out. I heard their weekday lunch is incredibly cheap, but I only got to go on a weekend. It's definitely cheap, but the food is what you'd expect for the price. The female staff on the floor are competent, but they could use a little more smiles!
● Crowdedness I went there on a weekday evening with a reservation! ● Food I ordered pâté de campagne, carpaccio, truffle risotto, etc. The owner was also friendly and very attentive, and the food was all delicious! Lunch seems popular too, so I want to try different dishes again!
I had been wanting to try this place for a while and finally went for lunch. I was surprised by the menu for this price. The food was comforting and warmed me up. In terms of taste, I wish the bread had been a bit better, but that's just me being picky. I'll definitely come back again. Thank you for the delicious meal.
Lunch is ¥1300, and you can choose from a selection of appetizers and main courses. Drinks are ¥150, and desserts are ¥330. It's very delicious, and for this price, some people even call it a treasure of Asakusa. I agree. It's a 1-minute walk from Asakusa Station on the Toei Asakusa Line, and about 3 minutes from the Ginza Line. You don't need a reservation, but it's usually fine if you arrive around 1 pm. There are quite a few solo diners. While there are many women, I'd say there are about half as many men.
