I heard about this place from a coworker and decided to check it out during my lunch break since it's close to the office! (*´∇`*) It's located in a back alley, so I got a little lost trying to find it. Tenma-me, a shop that has been selected as one of the "100 Best Wagashi Shops" in Japan. They only have about four items on the menu, but they seem to be very particular about the ingredients they use. I bought some tenma-me for my family. My daughters enjoyed them for dessert, and I had some as a snack after the kids went to bed. The black honey and red bean paste were delicious! The black honey was rich and flavorful, and the red bean paste was soft and fluffy. I think people of all ages would enjoy these, so I think they would make a great souvenir! ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡ Thank you for the delicious treat!
The shop featured on "Matsuko's Unknown World." I finally made it there. Tenma-me, the beans are large and fluffy. Four types of beans, each with a different flavor and texture, yet they all blend together perfectly. A truly delicious world. Don't pour too much black syrup, savor the beans and agar-agar, then add the syrup and savor them again... It's delicious no matter how you eat it. I devoured everything without realizing it. The staff were also very kind and explained everything in detail. Everything was delicious. One of the checkpoints in the Shintomich and Tsukiji area. The shop is tucked away in a slightly secluded spot, which adds to its charm. I immediately recommended it to my friends.
【Access】 The wagashi shop is located about a 3-minute walk from Tsukiji Station on the subway, a little way down a narrow street from the Chuo Ward Office Entrance intersection. 【Operating Hours and Store】 I stopped by on a weekday at 12:30 pm. When I entered the store, they were preparing the kanten (agar-agar) and there was one person waiting. I waited about 5 minutes and then made my purchase. The store has a casual and cute atmosphere. ◼︎Station: Close ◼︎Line: None ◼︎Space: Casual ◼︎Price: Cheap ◼︎Payment: QR code payment ◼︎BGM: None 【Tenma-me / ¥600 / Tax Included】 Tenma-me is a dish of three types of boiled beans, kanten, and black honey. The owner told me to eat it without the black honey first, so I tried it plain… The boiled beans have different levels of sweetness and textures due to their different shapes, which is enjoyable. It’s delicious. Then I added the black honey. The sweet black honey, boiled beans, and smooth kanten go together perfectly. It makes you smile just eating it. 【Staff】 They seem to be running the shop by themselves. They are very kind and even reminded me to be careful of the sudden rain on my way out… such comforting words. 【Finally】 They use only domestic ingredients, which they handcraft and serve, so there are limited quantities. Today, there are only a few left. Sometimes they sell out early in the day… It’s a wagashi that doesn’t keep well, but I want to eat it again. Thank you for the delicious meal! ^^ ◼︎Commitment: Domestic ingredients ◼︎Repeat: ◎ No.04092024
A comforting and soothing experience with anmitsu made with carefully selected ingredients. **Visit:** 11:30 AM **Wait:** None **Notes:** Only the red bean jelly was sold out, but there were still a few other options available. **Order:** - Tenmame (¥600) - Soy Milk Jelly with Black Sugar Syrup and Kinako (¥480) **Tenmame:** Everything is handmade in-house. Today, there were four types of beans! The beans have a simple sweetness and are cooked perfectly, so enjoy them plain first. Then, drizzle them with the black sugar syrup made from Hateruma Island sugar for a delightful finish. The large, firm jelly adds a satisfying texture, making it a truly fulfilling experience. **Soy Milk Jelly with Black Sugar Syrup and Kinako:** This simple jelly features the refreshing flavor of tofu, combined with soy milk. Drizzle it generously with black sugar syrup and kinako for a comforting and soothing taste. Located just a two-minute walk from Tsukishima, this shop offers friendly and attentive service, creating a welcoming atmosphere that clearly resonates with the local community. I will definitely visit again when I'm in the neighborhood. ✨
This is a takeout-only anmitsu shop that focuses on using high-quality ingredients. They make your order fresh, so you can always take home a freshly made anmitsu. You can reserve your order in advance to avoid waiting. I ordered the Tenma-mame for 580 yen. There were about three groups ahead of me, and it took about 15 minutes with one staff member working. The beans were very sweet, so I enjoyed the beans, anko (sweet bean paste), and agar first before adding the black honey. The black honey from Kikaijima was very flavorful and delicious. This was a guilt-free dessert. Thank you for the delicious meal.
