A bar with a stunning view. It offered a semi-private dining experience with an all-you-can-drink set. I was surprised by the generous portions of the food, which went beyond just appetizers. The drink menu also boasted a wide selection of cocktails. (Unfortunately, I couldn't indulge this time due to prior commitments.)
Located on the 40th floor of the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel in the Shibuya area of Tokyo, this bar offers stunning views of the city lights from its top floor. Enjoy high-quality drinks while taking in the vibrant cityscape. From the underground Noh theater 'Sukiya,' you're transported 150 meters above ground to a sophisticated space with live jazz music. The menu is presented on a tablet. Mocktails include the 'Dual Emotion' with tea and lime, and the 'Cerulean Squash' with a beautiful, refreshing blue hue. Indulge in the 'Giant Grape Sorbet with Fig Confiture' or the 'Chocolate Plate' with its five-piece assortment, all while enjoying the breathtaking night view. The bar offers a wide selection of food, including a surprisingly affordable course dinner. Afternoon tea is also available during the day. As you gaze out from the top floor, you'll discover new and interesting sights as Shibuya transforms throughout the day. This restaurant is located on the top floor of the Cerulean Tower. The view is, needless to say, breathtaking. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also very nice. The live piano music is soothing. While you can enjoy yourself even if you're not seated by the window, it's definitely recommended to make a reservation in advance for a window seat. It's completely non-smoking, and the smoking area is on the floor below. Table charge (per person): ¥2,000 OKINAWA -Okinawa- (¥2,400) Tax and service charge included I tried their August special right away. It looked great and tasted tropical. It was ridiculously small though, lol. Yamazaki Spanish Oak 2020 (¥6,600) Tax and service charge included The ice had the restaurant's logo hand-carved into it! Amazing! I didn't drink it though... Tonight's Mojito (¥2,400) Tax and service charge included Hmm, the best mojito I've ever had. Kishiro (¥1,900) Tax and service charge included It's a bit too fancy for my usual drink... It's a comforting barley shochu. Relaxing. Dry Goods 3-Piece Platter (¥1,500) Tax and service charge included Just a little something to snack on... The heart-shaped plate is cute. It's expensive, but you're paying for the location. Wagyu Sirloin Grill Sandwich (¥4,850) Tax and service charge included I forgot to take a picture, but it was an amazing sandwich. The meat was so juicy. The accompanying potatoes were also delicious. Cheese Platter 6 Varieties (¥3,500) Tax and service charge included From strong to mild cheeses. It's expensive, but you're paying for the location. The value for money is high, it's definitely expensive. If you're paying for the view, it's not worth it if the weather is bad. There are too many things that are overpriced, making it hard to judge. It's not the kind of place where ordinary people can casually enjoy themselves. It's a place you'd want to visit for a special occasion. Unfortunately, the table service was underwhelming considering the 15% service charge. The menu is on a tablet, but you still have to call someone over every time. There's only one tablet per table, and for this price, I would have expected a higher level of service. Also, the interior is surprisingly noisy, and depending on where you're sitting, it's hard to hear conversations. That's a minus.
It's been so long since my last visit that I can't even remember how many years it was. I invited my wife to go for a whiskey tasting, but my real goal was to attend an event where I could try different vintages of Nikka Taketsuru. I was able to sample Taketsuru 25, 21, 17, and 12 years old, and Taketsuru NV was available for unlimited refills. The event included snacks, but the counter seats were fully booked, so we reserved a sofa seat for ¥39,000 per person. It was a rare and enjoyable experience to hear the blender's explanation. I also realized that I prefer the 12-year-old Taketsuru. I never imagined that the blend would change so much with age. I occasionally do vertical and horizontal tastings with wine for fun, but this was my first time comparing whiskeys, and it was a lot of fun. I think I'll come back again to just relax and enjoy a drink.
I was taken here by my boss for a birthday celebration in July 2024. Even though it was close to closing time, we were greeted with smiles. The view is simply breathtaking, no explanation needed. From the entrance to the seating, everything was smooth and the bartender's service was excellent. I ordered an Espresso Martini, which was delicious. They use Ciroc vodka. I'd love to come back and try their afternoon tea sometime.
