Craving sashimi, I made a reservation at this popular spot in Asakusa. This was my fourth visit. I booked a table seat on Tabelog, but was seated at the counter. I was a bit taken aback at that point. While I don't mind eating at the counter, I felt uncomfortable with staff bumping into me every time they walked past. The prices are relatively affordable. The food is tasty for the price, I guess. The famous raw horse mackerel fry varies in quality depending on the day. The close proximity to other customers means you can hear their loud conversations and laughter. I wouldn't choose this place if it's packed in such a small space.

A sushi and Japanese cuisine restaurant located near Asakusa Station on the Tobu Line! The service was a bit questionable, and the prices were all over the place, with some items being expensive and others being cheap. If you only order the cheaper items, it might not be that expensive, but... They serve unique sushi, fish dishes, tempura, and more.

A dinner gathering with a woman. We had a 4,000 yen course and added black sugar ice cream. The food was all delicious, especially the rare mackerel fry! I'm sorry, I didn't take pictures of the salad, tempura, or grilled fish.

I visited Asakusa ASA Tiger, a sushi and izakaya. The interior is small and lively, typical of an izakaya. I ordered the omakase (chef's choice) and while it wasn't what I expected from a sushi restaurant, it was fine considering it's an izakaya. However, the cramped space made me feel uncomfortable. The food was excellent, especially the simmered octopus and the fresh horse mackerel (aji) fry. The aji was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The handrolls that came out at the end had hard rice and lacked any vinegar flavor, making them not even sushi. They were simply bad. The fried horse mackerel was also chopped into small pieces, which felt lacking in finesse. The three small dishes served as appetizers all tasted very similar. The sashimi, tempura, and grilled fish were delicious, so it's a shame the rest wasn't as good.
